Embark on a new snark

My least-favorite dog could make a good salad if you gave her halfway-fresh ingredients to start with. It's just not that big a deal, and if salads are the saving grace of a restaurant, it's not much of a restaurant.

On the other hand, if they mess up something as simple as a steak... that's a pretty good sign to go masticate somewhere else.

;)

I've been to Applebees several times and while not 5 Star quality steak, they're not THAT bad for the price.

My favorite local chain steakhouse is Texas Roadhouse, their steaks are killer.

Unless there's another Barlow, I figger you're talkin' about Barlow, KY. If so, you're not very far from me...I live out in West Paducah.

I lived in Oak Grove, KY for two years while I was at Fort Campbell. Got married in Hop-town. My marriage license questionnaire actually asked of me and my soon to be wife, "Are you related?" (1st cousins are not permitted to marry but 2nd cousins are) LOL. That little stipulation always gets a mention when we talk to someone about living in KY for a time. Sorry.

I went to a Texas roadhouse in Ohio.. I asked for a Lone Star beer, they don't have it... Ok, how about a Shiner?.. never heard of it... hmm, OK how about a Sol?.. What is that? DosXX? Tecate? Ended up with a Sam Adams or something like that.. Steak was pretty good though.

KY is also the only state where your divorce attorney, can be the judge presiding over your divorce...... No joke, messed up legal system there.

AND he can be your sister. And make a mean salad on top of it. It's wild.

LOL I love the South regardless. You ever try to ask for a sweet tea in Portland, Oregon? They ALL reply with disdain......"does it....you mean with sugar in it?"

I had a dog that could shoot a good salad too. Damn thing loved corn though. I can't abide a corn squirting dog. I draw the line there.

LMAO... I miss Florida!!! Even places in Philly that has sweet tea, its powder mixed or brisk tea. The south has the best food and drinks for sure. I have been to over 25 states and past through most the rest, but the best food comes from Louisiana, Florida, Texas, Georgia, and Alabama!

Haha. Its the same here in WA.
Do you have sweet tea? "Uhh...no."
I've even been to a couple BBQ joints that didnt serve it! BBQ joints in and of themselves are kinda hard to come by around here.
They had it at the Southern Kitchen in Tacoma though. Good fried chicken too! And polite waitresses! Sometimes I miss Southern hospitality...

Hey guys thought I'd share this gear kit I just made. Its a Blackhawk quick disconnect drop leg with my custom kydex sheath for some Becker bk 7's with some maxpedition mag clips and radio pouches.
