Emerson Calls Bullsh*t

how come you don't like the backspacer material? and what would you prefer as a backspacer material? (sorry for slightly changing the topic)

It's a softer material, not G10, but something rubbery-feeling. And kind of teal-greenish, but I don't care about the color.

i believe it is nylon, and has an inconsistent texture.

i would prefer g10 or even aluminum. ti would be best.

Me too. It works well & serves it's purpose, but the cool-gizmo-freak in me would prefer to have something made of Ti. (I started to make a backspacer for a Spyderco Endura 4, and got stalled with the tabs that sit in the steel liners.) The CQC-10 spacer would make an interesting project. I might make one out of Ti, or aluminum if I get lazy. I also have G11; or maybe a glow-in-the-dark material, to make the knife more visible.

Wow this was a shit storm of a thread, "I hate Emerson , Emerson hats me, I'm going to sell all my Emerson's and by a pony, I'm going to sell my wife and by all the Emerson's that will show everyone how cool/aid I am because I'm just like Emerson, theirs a scratch on my liner, you see it?, no let me get the telescope, I'm so hard core I brake my knives before I use them rrrrr, and then of course there's the epic captain O.B.S. member with his truth, honer, loyalty, that we can't understand because we are scum. that went from firefighter to emt to bouncer to factory worker? Must not have had the honer, loyalty or integrity that he speaks of so fervently, I know he certainly did not display that here. To everyone here this is all in fun I don't mean any disrespect to any actual member's just poking fun. As for Emerson knives I will buy one and see for myself. Until then I will keep an open mind.

Ps. If this post seems strange its because I've been up for 48 hour's with double doses of medication, so err..good night

Since we have the most liberal return policy in the industry they should be flooding our repair departments. ”

This is some seriously funny stuff right there
Your refund\warranty policy is absolute garbage

According to your website , you charge 14$ for warranty service -("For warranty service ship the knife postage paid and insured with $14.00 ") and 19$ for sharpening (We will factory sharpen your knife if you prefer. Just ship, insured to us with $19.00 for shipping")

In addition , you charge 20$ restocking fee ("There is a $20.00 restocking charge for the return of any items to Emerson Knives")

This is , as I said above , absolute garbage, especially when you compare it to a real , world class , no nonsense warranty like KAI or Benchmade offer

Huh?? Ok, the $14 is for the return shipping and packaging - NOT for warranty service. The $19 for sharpening is $14 for shipping and packaging and $5 for the actual sharpening. The $20 is a RESTOCKING fee for a RETURNED order. Returned as in deciding you don't want it. It has NOTHING to do with the warranty. 99% of all businesses charge a restocking fee on a returned order. Either you can't comprehend what you read, or you are just trying to stir crap up.

1. I don't give a damn what portion of 19$ is for the sharpening or the shipping , it doesn't matter because it's sucks either way

2. 14$ for return shipping is garbage , unless Emerson ship back with overnight courier . KAI would ship you knife back for FREE (even if you are overseas) and Benchmade would only charge 5$

3. "99% of all businesses charge a restocking fee" = Absolute bullshit , like everything else you wrote .
Any half decent retailer or manufacturer , provided your return is legit and you are not abusing his policy , would NEVER charge you restocking fee , period .

vicious00machete, it should be possible to express your opinions without escalating the vulgar language. That's only going to end in back and forth arguments and insults.

You sir, are a complete idiot.

Well, it looks as if the escalation has occurred. Will anyone have anything else of substance to add? No, I doubt it, especially now. This thread is closed.
