Emerson Collection

Sorry, no pictures for the picture thread, but I had to comment.

Who does the custom bolster work on those Emersons? Beautiful. Where would one order a knife like that?

I've only got a few, none picturesque. All beaters. I'm sitting in a tent in Iraq at the moment, with a Commander and a CQC-7, and a few others on the way. At home I have a CQC-15 I got just before last leaving to come here, and it was great. I lost my mini-commander in Mosul, and that one had been everywhere...around the world a dozen times or so, and was worn, beaten, and still going strong. I ordered the Commander to replace it, and haven't been disappointed at all.

I'm sure there's little resale value in any of my knives after they get done being carried and used, and I threw out the boxes when they came. When I get home, what I'm not wearing will hang on the inside door of my gun safe. I got them to use, and they're used.

I managed to slice the tip of my right thumb a few days ago when closing the commander. Foolish me, but very satisfactorily sharp!

Most all of the bolstered knives pictured here are Emerson hand made SPECWAR Customs. you don't order them anymore as he no longer takes orders. To get one you have to be really lucky. The only ways you can get them is if you win a spot in the lottery at knife shows they attend or can snatch one from a dealer before someone else does. The thing with getting them from a dealer is that they are very expensive.

I just received my newest Emerson, a Persian BT.
This thing is like a pocket sword it is so big. Not to big but big enough.

It has a thick lock and damn early lockup.

Seriously considering an SRT frame lock for it.

I recently traded my persian for a BM426 Snody.
