Emerson Kershaw Cqc-7K Pocket Clip FAIL!?!?

And to be fair this issue isn't isolated to kershaw. My spyderco persistence screws have the same issue. Except the don't fit on either side of the knife in the tip up orientation. Had to use a spare Kershaw scallion pivot screw to fix it.

I have been quiet on this thread because I said my piece in the other Kershaw/Emerson thread. But the backhanded sarcasm being tossed at Ape is uncalled for.

If that is not a "FAIL" I don't know what is. and for those of you who say "blah blah sarcasm, $35 knife, blah blah, stop whining, blah blah, #1 cutomer service. yadda yadda, buy screws..." I say, a fail is a fail. Kai CS has a very good rep and they take their time with releasing knives to avoid this crap. Like I mentioned in another thread, we should not have to jump through hoops to achieve something that was promised by the manufacturer. Ape (and the rest of us southpaws) has every right to kvetch about what is going on with this issue. And if you are bored with this thread I have a novel idea for you. STOP READING IT!
Sorry to hijack your thread Ape. But after a few weeks of this, it kinda got to me.

Thanks for the post...

I'm honestly struggling to understand why this is such a big deal. To get butthurt over a $35-$40 seems unnecessary to me and a waste of time on the consumers part. Yes, Kershaw has a problem with the screws not being long enough. Yes, the customer service representative didn't know about the new release(s). I still don't understand why those two things warrant a video, a thread, and a post on Instagram about it. You can't tell me those two problems deserve all of this publicity when Kershaw is actively trying to mend the issue. You know how many customers Kershaw is going to lose over this? Absolutely none. It just seems like a huge waste when all of this time and effort is going to affect nobody. Nobody looks at a $35-$40 knife and uses that as a basis to judge an entire company off of. If you do that, something's wrong. I would most definitely understand all of this time and trouble for say, a $150 knife. But, a $35-$40 knife from China, come on!

This seems like a 13-15 year olds drama status on my Facebook feed.

I actually bought 2 of them...

My Persistance switched to left tip up no prob... Did you call customer service?

Your point? It's still a $35-$40 knife.

My point is I spent $80 on knives that didnt function as advertised... And that sucks...

I called to get help, was told they were not Kershaw knives despite me urging them to look at their own internet site... And that sucks...

I called again and was told they would send screws immediately that ended up not fitting... And that sucks...

I called back again and was told I would get new screws but they didnt have them yet or any idea when they would... And that sucks...

Now I am wasting time replying to you, a person, who is acting like its my fault... And that sucks...

No matter what I say fan boys like you will act like I am in the wrong... And that sucks...

Not once did I say or in any way imply to you or anyone else that It's your fault you don't have the correct lengthed screws. I even said that Kershaw didn't have the correct screws and that the representative didn't know about the new release(s). I totally agree, that sucks. But, I don't think something like this should've brought this much attention, IMO. I definitely think Kershaw needs to know, and I'm sure they're glad to know about it, but not in the way you've done here. Yeah, the representative didn't know about the new products, tell me about it. Do I think the representative should've known? Heck yeah I do! But, I'm not going to let something like that fuel me to start a thread like this when I know that humans aren't perfect and that was a prime example of it. I'd bet you the $80 the representative knows now. They just made a mistake.

Lets keep this topic on the knife please and not me. I'd appreciate it.

That's an awful lot of "I" in that post for someone who doesn't want the thread to be about them...

I am sorry you feel the the thread wasn't warranted. As a left hander who was slighted, regardless of amount, I do... I wanted other lefties to know what was going on as I wished somebody had told me. If you don't like it move along.

I never called you anything, so I expect the same back. It's a general KNIFE discussion, not a general person discussion.

I think the thread was warranted. Just not in the severity that it was conducted in. See, I said " I definitely think Kershaw needs to know, and I'm sure they're glad to know about it, but not in the way you've done here." And by that, I mean it needed to be constructive. Or, at least, more constructed than what appears.

More "I"... What was severe? I told the story of what happened openly and honestly. I supposed a biased person might see that differently.

Missed the quote...

The way you handled the situation was severe. It wasn't constructive. Part of the reason why there's not a Kershaw/Zero Tolerance sub-forum anymore on here.

Opinions will involve yourself. Hence, using "I".

So much for moving along. Lol at handling the situation in a "severe way." Keep sniffing out the bad people like me who ran Kershaw off, you're doing great.

BTW, you spout allot of Opinions about my situation handling for somebody what wants to not be discussed and only talk about the "knife".

Goodnight.

Have to work in the morning and need to catch some sleep. Not worth my time anymore to argue with someone like you. I've had more productive arguments with fellow 16 year-olds.

Thanks for taking the time to post your experiences.
