Oh my god. That’s exactly what I pictured in my head. Ha! So it’s not Emerson or Strider. I’m going whit Benchmade. Leave it to blade forums to make a choice between two brands of knives turn in to a choice of six brands.:grumpy:

I love this forum.

Yeah, I'm thinking of getting that knife in satin finished plain-edge manual version.:)
Nice looking knife for sure.

lol us brothers in law enforcement gotta stick together... i saw this blade and what you said you liked and said "this is you" im getting an all black plain edge auto myself :) besides the Axis lock is much better than a liner i see custom scales from cuscadi to match your fixed blade and axe in your future :)

I think I understand better now what you are doing. I appologize for not completely understanding before. But I still think stabbing into the chest is a bad choice unless it is the only available target in reach.

Stay safe brother. Thank you for doing what you do.

after owning a couple of emersons i realize the liner lock issue too....they wear out very quick!!!! i only own my cqc8 for a little over a year and i already have to send it in to replace the liner lock....however my commander lasted alot longer...i dont know why. and the lock on the commander is alot tougher too =/

but as far is the quality of emersons, they are awesome and extremely easy to maintain.

How easy are the emerson folders to take apart?

Dead simple. A Phillips and a slotted screwdriver is all you need. Emerson hardens their screws too.

Thanks for the info.

I might be getting an Emerson Persian in a few days; I’m going to put it in a head to head test against the Bedlam 860. See how they perform against Kevlar. I will post some pictures when I get it.

I know that the Persian is a bit of a collector’s item, but I’m planning on using this one as part of my EDC.
Anyone know how hard it may be to remove the black coating on an Emerson blade?

I wanna see the results of that test.
