Seeing as I've known folks who had to have everything they own be "Mil-Spec", I believe you are likely correct on that.
Also, let me be clear on something. Crystal clear. I am not a hypocrite. I t
oo have bought into marketing for something, and took pride in ownership based on claims that were made by company marketing. I sort of feel like people think that I'm calling them idiots or losers for liking Emersons. For the record,
I am not. I merely found the situation amusing, that's all, because frankly, I find most of the thoughts and actions of we as human beings amusing and entertaining in general. I think Emerson sells a product based on an image they are trying to portray, and I understand how people can want a piece of that. That said, I
personally do
not respect that they are making money selling products by using elite armed service groups as marketing tools. That's just me, personally. That's why I will never buy an Emerson product, and will not support their company in any way.
Disclosure: I work in the Defense industry, and have for almost 15 years. I am well aware of the lengths companies will go to to sell products. Mil-spec and tactical are two of the most overhyped, overused terms imaginable.
So, while some here may disagree with my assertions, I ask that you realize I'm not trying to denigrate anyone here personally. I just dislike Emerson, and their products just don't do anything for me.
