End of the year Knives sales for 12/29

Happy day today, triangle box on the front porch, always a nice thing.

Inside was the Baby Foxy Folly that Lachu made just for me. It's exactly what I had in mind and I love the rhodedendron handle. Just a bit larger than the Purna Baby Foxy I got sometime back. I like the size of this one better, still small but a bit more meaningful, slightly more handle. Still love the Purna also so it need not feel unloved.

Some shots of the two along with a Rusty SD I just put some antler on. It also had the rhody handle which was beautiful and it was painful but I had to have antler. Getting this little Foxy eased my handle pain and I think the Rhody is even nicer on it than the Rusty was.

Just hit it with a little linseed oil, this one needed hardly any clean up at all, very well done.

The R knife from this sale that was grabbed by Cul is presently visiting bawannaville. The post man disrespected it a little bit and damaged the handle.
We was lucky that the busted piece broke nice and clean and didn't lose any parts. I was able to expoxy it back on and can't even tell it ever left.
Spent a couple hours sanding an fitting it to the metal a little nicer although it was really nice to start with.

This is another knife that just didn't sing to me looking at the pictures but in hand it's a symphony. I love this thing. It's much beefier than it appears and just feels nice in the hand.

For something that isn't shaped like a khukri it seems like it could chop or do most anything a person could want. This one is really sharp too.

This one will be very hard to package back up and send back home. Another on my list I guess.

I'll post some pictures after a bit, little out of gas at the moment for some reason. Think I'll hit the recliner for a bit.

While Mr. B fixed up the R knife! I was busy visiting auntie:

We spent a few hours together, and we went to a fantastic Indian restaurant nearby. Kanchhi and Chokpa were busy, and father was a little under the weather, so, it was just auntie, Randy, and my family.

Brother, I told auntie we need to get ourselves to TX to see you and the missus. I'll post a pic a little later, but auntie had my special order 25" GS waiting for me. It's awesome! I said, Ndog is gonna have kittens when he sees this one!

Cul: I'm from India. Can you please tell me the name of that "fantastic Indian restaurant"? If you remember.

It was India Kabob and Curry, 1091 S Virginia Street, Reno, Nevada, USA.

It was much more than a kabob and curry restaurant. The menu was more extensive than most, ambiance was relaxing and enjoyable, portions were normal sized, rice was complimentary, and I believe it was Southern Indian cooking mainly.

I remember Virginia Street, one of the many main drags. I was actually starting to know my way around Reno a little bit, hope I don't lose it before next trip.
Here's some pictures of the R Knife. It's all packed up and ready to go home. I didn't want to leave it out, more I looked and held it, the more it wanted to stay in Washington.
I removed some wood up front on the handle to make it match the metal a little closer, figured why not since I sanded the whole handle down anyhow.

One corner on the back completely broke off but the piece sent along fit perfectly, nothing missing, the repair is virtually invisible even when I look and I know where to look. Got lucky on this one.
The handle was so pretty I didn't want to waste it and start all over.

Bad picture.

These things are beefy as are most HI knives. As I said before they didn't really sing to me but now holding one, I'll be looking for one, pretty awesome knife.

I'm no knife fighter at all, I'll grab a stick if my 1911 isn't handy over a knife but the tip on this thing is cool but also wicked. While the back isn't sharpened, it's got a very sharp upward tip that would do a lot of damage on a back swing. Course to me it just looks cool and that's the most important thing. Looking cool is everything.

That's all I got.

Thanks Mr. B! It looks so good! I never in my life could've done what you did. Thank you very much.

Sure you could, you need more faith in yourself.

Now some of the stuff that Bookie does, I'm with you, most mortal men couldn't possibly do what he does.

I agree, I told auntie, Bookie and pugs got some mad skills. You, Ndoghouse, and Alan, also got skills.

Here's a lil gift from Aunti! I asked her if she still had the oyster knife but it was gone.

She had this one and sent it to me. She wouldnt let me pay for it so Ill get her back when she's least expecting it;) Its really cool and fits nicely in the the palm. I think it was made more as a dagger than an oyster knife. Very Khul oyster dagger! Not sure of the Kami but its the leaf (Anil?) Cant wait to go to the beach and slay some oysters! Yum. Bitcoin for scale. Its 7 1/2 inches OAL for you non-crypto fiat people:D
