Absolutely hated the "plasticy" and hollow feeling of the Griptilian handles and it was also too thick to comfortable carry in my pants.

The Endura has much better ergos and is a slimmer package...

I thought enough of the Grip to gift it to my youngest brother... who has a habit of breaking knives, still in great shape.

Just looking at picking up a griptillian finally and wanted the general opinions of the crowd. I have been a longtime fan of Spyderco with
no regrets, I have carried a few other knives over the last twenty years or so but I always default back to either the Endura or the Delica.
I'm just used to them and they simply work. I have a hard time messing with something if it works. Have been interested in the Grip for years but never got around to buying one. It seems comparable to the Endura for sure, I don't see it being a step up or down in quality it just looks like it might make for a nice change of pace. Thoughts?

Both the Grip and the Endura are excellent, and every knife knut should have both (or have both Delica and Mini-Grip as I do. I like the smaller size.) I agree that is not a step up or down in quality. I find that 154CM and VG10 perform about the same for me. But, they are very different knives. The Grip is thicker in the handle and I find it more hand-filling. The Spyderco is thinner, almost too thin as I sometimes feel the handle flex a bit in my hand. And it's a personal preference thing, but I like the Grip blade shape better than that of the Spyderco, though both work really well.

I carry my ffg endura every day. I love it. I've handled quite a few grips and haven't liked any of them enough to buy one.

I have no experience with the Griptilian, But I have a Delica 4 ffg, which is a very nice knife imo. I saw an Endura 4 once, was put off by the hugeness lol. I have no doubt that you will not regret what ever you buy.

The mini grip is a phenomenal knife, I think it is a better knife than the full-size. It's perfectly sized, great ergos, right thickness etc. In a land of CRKs, my mini grip(s) hold their own!

I used to have couple Enduras and full size griptilian. Both are good knives. I carried both for a while, but Endura was a little too big for my taste and Griptilian had too thick grind. But I love ergos on both knives and never feel bulky in my pocket. If I had to choose between both, certainly would take Endura due to spyderhole, VG10, and grind. Now days you can get Endura even in FFG.

Endura all the way, long but slim knife and good ergos. Axis lock is fun but personally I prefer the spyderhole.

I've only handled the Grip, which I found a little small for my hands, but I have owned (and used) a couple of Enduras and I'm sold on them as awesome work and EDC knives.
