Hmm, need to update the pics. Didn't realize how much they sucked until I saw them in here.

Todd, those knives are gorgeous, by the way. I particularly like the one with the mosaic pin. Kinda reminiscent of RyanW's style handle, but with your own distinctive flare. I haven't figured out how to do that style handle yet. Looks hard...

Forgot to put in a pic for scale. Here it is with my 9 and 4...

Man, that thing just looks bad ass. The handle shape and blade go well together. Love that handle, btw.

I'm liking that Bushcrafter. The blade looks a lot like the Yuma. Is this one more or less like a Yuma with a different style of handle?
They both look great and those handles are beautiful.

No, its not a Yuma. It is similar, but actually a totally different profile, blade is similar, handle is totally different, no tang extention, this knife is 1/8in. thick oppossed to 3/16 in. With the Yuma. Plus the Yuma has jimping which this one doesn't. Thanks for the kind words!

That's the beauty of those handles. It looks hard but its really not. Just takes a little more time. Maybe a little more patience while assembling. Your ever in my nieghborhood id be glad to teach ya!

Really nice work on that kukri cf! I bet with your handle design, it would make a great chopper...if you could bring yourself to use it.

Hey guys, just got this knife for free, wondering if anyone knew anything about it. I normally dont even look at Gerber knives but this one is made in USA. It does not have the Gerber Logo on the knife but says GERBER USA on one side and PORTLAND OR on the other.

Anyone know what model it is? Is it worth anything being its older/made in USA?

It's funny, I was just thinking about thrillbilly today... a long while back I had sent him a Bill Akers Backwoods knife, and he never paid me for it. I actually don't care that much about the money if I could get the knife back; just doesn't seem right to not have one of Bill's knives in the collection.

I have no evidence or indicators here. Just suspicion. But I imagine the stolen knives have been sold to pay off debts and/or buy drugs. I can't believe he had the stones to show his face at Ethan's and then pull the crap he did.

I just figured everybody packs a D cell down there.

um, hate to tell you this, but most folks but the D-cell in the front.

I've got a few knives that Santa decided the to be owners where not worthy of. (Cause they didn't pay)offering to you guys first before I put them on the exchange. More info here: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/1022624-Holiday-leftovers-Knives-for-sale

good lord those are superb.

really nice job on that -- I like the way you shaped the handle, looks like it should work in a variety of holds.
overall shape makes me think E-nep or village knife more than khuk, but I can see where you got the inspiration.

If I can make it out there, I'd love to take you up on that! Thanks :)

Threw together a sheath for it. I figured it deserved leather. I tried to dye it a bit unevenly so I could get a little patterning. Then I courbouilled it, so it should be pretty much water resistant.

Interesting comment vik. I'm not sure what an enep is, and I think villager knives have a pretty different shape. But thanks, I'll have to look into those and see if I can get more inspiration.

Sigh, thrillbilly. Don't remind me. I want those blades back. Thank god they weren't blades for customers...

There's a few people I'd be interested to hear from including GB, as well as C Tanner, Clich, Sqoon (sic?), heck even Oxide. I guess they come and go.

Oxide is about I presume.. but he catches a lot of flack from some.... He is a good young man.... I haven't heard from him, but he really appreciates this group... maybe a few of you could reach out to him, despite what you may think, he is okay...

So all of a sudden Paypal wants copies of my social security card, my driver license or ID, and proof of address. Thats the 3 things id want if i was going to start stealing some identities too! Before i was ok with it only being linked to a debit card but this is a bit much to be mailing someone i cant meet in real life. and im not going to do it. I only opened my account a couple months ago and they didnt ask for that information then.

It sucks cus paypal makes things pretty easy but im just not cool mailing/faxing or emailing all my personal documents to a company i cant walk in there doors, talk to a human being and make a deposit or withdraw of my own money.

I guess i can still use moneypak to pay.

uhhh NO!!!!! that's a scam... report it to paypal immediately

maybe not... read a little further after replying.... you asked about a debit... but still... an inquiring email?... not sure.. never had that happen..

What surprised me more was reading just how thin those knives are. I guess when I saw them I just kinda thought they would be comparable to the BK16 in thickness, but I was way off.
