Enrique Peña knives

I'm thinking this Alaskan cruise will be the first time you've slowed down in months. Excellent work on the lockback Zulu. Definitely looking forward to seeing more of these.

Edited to add: Oh yeah, the jigging on that bone is awesome as well.

I'm always floored by the work you do Enrique. Top shelf all the way.

Sweet work on that Zulu lockback Enrique. Have a fantastic trip. I have friends who are not the cruise type that have shocked me when their wives insisted on one of those Alaskan cruises, when they returned and spoke of how much they enjoyed it.

Hello to all. Glad you guys like the knife and thanks for the great comments. The bone on that knife is my own jigged bone and I got 25 more pair in the process that are 1 1/4" x 4 1/8" and 25 that are 1 1/2" x 4 1/2". The bigger ones will work great on those big bullet knives and the big saddle horns. Look foward to making more knives that I have been dreaming of over here as I watch the waves.

Hello to all. I would like to post one of my lattest models. It is a lockback that was made using what I use as a backpockt pattern and this is what I came up with. I think that this knife here is a really good user knife for the guy out in the field or just for every day use. I really thing this one would be really cool in with a ground finsh on the blade and some jigged micarta. The beauty of this knife is that diffrent blades can be put in it like a backpockt, for example a drop point blade or maybe a semiskinner blade. This would also be good with a secondary blade ridding on a slipjoint mechanisim. Well here it is. Please feel free to put your thougths on how you think this knife would look good. I have been bitten by the lockback bug thanks to Jerry Hallfrich. This knife is not for sale but can always make another one.

That looks great.

The only thing I can think of to add, at the moment, is a lanyard hole. The idea of a secondary slip-joint blade is intriguing to me. I have an old (cheap) Folding Hunter style knife, of Japanese origin, with a locking clip blade and secondary, non-locking skinner-type blade. I've always liked the concept of it.

I think it looks great just the way it is. Jigged Micarta scales would like terrific too.

That lockback looks great, Enrique, and I love what you're doing with the bone. I agree that there's a lot of room for creativity in terms of blade profiles you can accommodate.

And since this next one was just sold I'm taking the liberty of adding it to your thread as I just enjoy looking at it!
