Damn my fork split....

What wood was it? Dry or green?

I'm working with some dry Liquid Amber wood. It tends to crack/split as well if I force the blade on it. Takes looots of patience.......but overall makes good material to work with.

here's another one I finished today. Forking sure is fun.

It was green cottonwood.
 
Finished mine! No unplanned splitting, yay! Think it turned out pretty good.

Not yet, Ethan is checking them out, he started monday, and is going through them today again. I gigged him some this morning, but I found that prodding a Becker early in the morning, not smart, now, I gotta go do some landscaping this weekend. Figures.:foot::D
