Jeff just said he's not interested in any limited runs lol.

Sounds like you're looking for a knife made for collectors, not users. A great knife should put function first, before being interesting. I would pick S30V over M4 anyday for a folder for the added corrosion resistance. I couldn't even imagine a 1095 folder.

I find it easier/less time consuming to wipe off a wet blade than sharpen a dull blade (not to mention the added toughness of carbon over stainless), I haven't seen many rust issues with the 1095 fixed blades. Also look at reviews of the M4 Gayle Bradley, people are using that one hard and have nothing but praise(besides the occasional not finding the handle ergonomic).

Jeff, do they do custom knife orders? How much would a pair of custom knives cost? Was thinking maybe having something special made for me and my mrs? These look really nice!

The knife looks great! I'm sure it has quality to match my other ESEE products (an Izula, and a 3).

For me, a reasonable price is "competes with the Spyderco military or ZT 200". Two great knives are in a similar product category at an attainable price point.

well i gave it a shot.....okay im gonna give( sorry adaman) for i folder i really dont want much over say 250( i lose)

This is the kind of stuff we love to hear. We need MORE people in this industry designing and bringing ideas to fruition. A large part of this industry is dull, boring old companies doing the same old shit year after year. We love to see fresh blood come in and do well. For example, Blind Horse knives. Those guys are kicking ass and rightfully so. Love it. Anyone who doesn't like "competition" is a fool because they simple don't understand the customer base of this relatively tiny industry.

BINGO. Competition makes an industry strong and keeps product designs fresh. Even companies I find distasteful like Mantis and Dark Ops still get props in my book for at least having the guts to do something different.

Doesn't matter to me how much they are...

I'll just win one in a skills contest. ;)
Your humility knows no bounds.

I think the reason Jeff lives on a farm instead of a mansion is because the company GIVES AWAY so much stuff! :) Between sponsoring the prizes for all these contests, giving knives away at trade shows etc. I'm kinda hoping the 3rd place prize I won during the survival contest, won't the the *last* prize I ever win here! :D

Hello ESEE guys!
I have never planned to register on BladeForums (altough I visited it many times when I was looking for info about knives) but your Esee 3 Folder prototype made me do it :D.

Hell yeah... This is the folder I´ve been waiting for !! I like it so much! The size, overall simple and functional shape, framelock, steel liner under G10 scale, removable glass breaker... Everything.

I spared some money and I wanted to ask our custom knifemaker Buddy Weston to make a folder for me that would fill all my needs and desires this year. But now, I don´t need to do it. I am going to wait for the Esee 3 Folder.

I am curious about the tech. specs (which steel, coating, Ti () vs. stainless frame) but I DO want this knife for sure!

Greetings from Czech Republic! Vladimir

P.S.: My english is not so good, I didn´t fully understand the debate about price but... The folder cheaper than fixed blade? Uh, I don´t think so, that´s just a silly dream .
But when speaking about it - do you already have any price on mind? I know, it depends on many things (steel, Ti, manufacturer etc.) that aren´t decided yet but is there any price range you want to fit in?

Hell yeah, thats the knife i've been waiting for along time for field carry. I hope it will be available very soon:)
