ESEE fest.........the aftermath

Man I'm sure glad to have been camping last weekend and not this weekend, at least not here around DFW - cold front is supposed to come through early tomorrow morning, winds up to 35mph, they're not even hedging their bets: "Chance of precipitation is 100%" and even a chance of snow just north of the metroplex.

Yep, last weekend was much better camping weather.

Of course, this cold front probably already rolled through 1066vik's place :) - hope you have a wood-burning stove to keep warm!
 
yeah - at noon it was 60 and sunny.
at 1:30 it was 40 and dark.
they're calling for anywhere from 1-3" to 3-6" of snow between now and noon tomorrow.
 
There is something to be said about the esee pack group.....The group actually did bring in a stranger...fed him..let him warm up by the fire....move his camp to our site...and he may now be a esee fan for life........I personally beleave when you get people like the Gunners, Tony and family, Rod, Dave, and 1066vik out there welcomeing in a young serviceman just so he would not have to spend his time alone, it makes me happy to know I am associated with the kind of people that set the example for the rest us.....Drew

kaela found a new love! lol the stranger we pulled in had a night vision camera! She was giddy. You also missed her birthday. You're a terrible penguin/dinosaur hunting partner.

His name was Carl.... young guy from the National Guard... I talked to him for a while on Sunday and Trevor & Alan got to take pics with his Rifle...
I gave him a 1/2" X 5" misch metal rod for being so nice to the boys and letting them hold his rifle and giving them notebooks etc. :thumbup:

He was a nice guy. I gave him all my contact information. Hopefully he'll email me and we can get him on the forum.
