I'm not sure which part of "PLEASE do not let this thread turn into a debate" you struggling with. But, the man's opinion is his own and there is no reason he needs to explain it to you. Now if you don't mind, maybe you can lay off others and follow Jeff's direction to not turn this thread into a debate?
he didn't say anything about politics. he asked that it not become a debate several times and asked that it not be a debate on principals. since you are attacking someone's point of view, i'd say you are debating principal.
also, i'm thinking that they are more concerned with the reasons for "no" votes than "yes" votes. the post in question was a yes, with a comment that made in the usa is better. leave him alone.
no one is trying to silence you. one fellow forumite simply asked another politely to drop it at the request of the owners. so, get over yourself. no one is out to insult you or shut you up, but if you need the last word that bad, go ahead, but it's really petty and kind of lame.
by the way, jeff himself asked me personally not to debate the principals. i wasn't insulted and i didn't cry back at him. i apologized and let the thread move on.
now, can we get back to the subject?
I would probably buy it but with the "Made in USA" on the knife it would be better.
