Excuse this thread if someone else posted this information already. I did a quick check and didn't see it posted before. The Izula folder is slated for production in 2015. Bladehq has pics. It will be a titanium frame lock.

I like the lines, but I had hoped that they would use G-10 scales. This thing looks slippery.

I suspect 440c will be the steel used. Regardless that is a slick little folder that should go over very well.

Because flat unprofiled titanium works best in the jungle . . . . .

Maybe not but it sells a lot of units! I for one dont spend much time in the jungle so the knife looks pretty appealing for edc.

I really do not get all of the hype that is still surrounding this knife. There are so many knives that are in current production, and what's more, currently available that in my estimation are so much better than this knife. This knife just looks so basic, if I'm being honest. Like, some sort of "My First Knife!" kit that you put together and this is the final result. Certainly, I see nothing that was so difficult that it took ESEE this long to get this product to the market.

Ah well, hope those are lusting for it manage to get one.

Pretty plain and simple. A little thought and imagination into the design would have been nice but as a functional knife it's got a blade and handle.......what's left?

For some it may be because it will have the ESEE warranty since it's made in the US.

Which makes little sense. Kershaw, Buck, Benchmade, Spyderco all have great warranties also. Many of their products are also made here. So, again, I'm not understanding what the huge draw of this knife is.

If its 1095 im in for sure. 440c and ill be passing on this. If they go stainless i would like to see something like m390

Years ago when the photo shop version was first discussed I was excited, now well there are a lot of great folders that do more for me. Especially at the price point its likely to be and the steel. I'd also prefer a g10 scale instead of plain titanium.

The Esee3 folder was a far more interesting possibility and then that crashed and burned. It was a shame the prototypes I played with were a great size.
