I've posted before that I think that the "5" is the bastard/"black sheep" of the ESEE line-up. Despite that, it'll ALWAYS be my FAVORITE.

The rb3 has one of the best handles ever of any knife.

If your asking what i think you are, its a true scandi. The lighting is a bit off but its not hollow from what i see

Hey Dan that is a forced mustard patina I did on it. It is about 4 times until it got to how I liked it. Each time leaves different colored variations but I like it more than a vinegar patina I use to do.

The rb3 has one of the best handles ever of any knife.

Too bad nobody makes aftermarket scales for it. I would love some snake skin micarta handles

For others, My wife gave it to me for Christmas she didn't realize she had bought it until this morning and I had snuck a photo to John earlier in the week.
