ESEE pictures and chat 👍🏻

Ha with short notice here is the ESEEs I have close by in a drawer. There's at least another five in bags, the ute and at my actual familys houses ready for short notice hunting trips. I find them to be a very useful knives. I Especially like the stainless varieties, great for skinning and meat harvest. My most carried is my desert tan IZULA. As well as my swiss army knives, ESEEs are my go-to knives.

Just thinking about it all the knives missing in the photo are 3s & 4s

That pic makes me crave the stainless 3...

Has anyone modified their ESEE6 factory handle? The handle LOOKS great but not comfortable in hand at all, especially for extended use. If this is too difficult to do, I may just buy a set of TKC.

I have sanded back ESSE 4 scales. 80 grit sand paper and then finer grades. It took a while to make them just right. I only did it because aftermarket scales here in Australia are relatively hard and expensive to get. If I had the option I'd just buy some 😀

Must be a pleasure having the Junglas.. It's on my wishlist
I have found it extremely useful when pruning new growth from my trees. Didn’t buy it for that purpose, but that’s what it gets used for.

Edit: to be clear, I first saw new growth branches from the tree then process the branches with the Junglas. Not up there hacking away at my trees;)

Wow that coating just melted off so nicely. What did you use?
Gday mate I just use a generic paint stripper from a local hardware store. I don't know if it makes a difference but I cover it fairly thickly and wrap in in aluminum foil and let it sit for up to an hour. Then as you saw, the results are perfect. I just take the toxic parcel to my wash-bay open it up and give it a good hose down Now I'm not sure why but the steel seems to be a matt finish after stripping. My brother is convinced the stripper is eating the steel but I think ESEE sandblasts before coating... Either way the finish is easily sanded back to what level of shine your after.

Just looking at the next photo I see my edge is still shiny so Id say the stripper is not hurting the steel.

I hope this helps you out. I was going to make a YouTube video next time.
