Thanks a bunch for that information. Surely, I know nothing of the subject, as the only hog I've ever split has already been sliced and cooked. But I did feel obligated to share the information simply to keep the pot simmering.A little small for the class of cleaver usually called a hog splitter. Those are typically very large two-handed models with long handles, and are a slightly smaller size than beef splitters, which are the largest size.
