Ethan's Spring Gathering May 18,19,20

I swear, after doing this a couple of times you get even more excited. It's because you know how much fun it is. Can't wait to meet the first timers and get some fresh camp fire stories. We've heard Sam's eight times now. :D

I aint sure I have any good campfire stories. I may get drunk and do amusing dances tho, like a circus bear.

Just got back from Beckerhead Camp.......Did the final rake out on the dozer work......Looking fine.....

The Moose and I did a walk thruogh and figured out the last little details that are gonna happen between now and then and it ain't much.....We are in much better shape than before.......

Looking forward to fall when things will have been rained on a bunch and some leaves and needles will have given it a more natural look......

We WILL post a schedule this time around......

Gonna be areal good time I think...

Tentative schedule this time, and is subject to change,

Friday- Arrival, general milling around and getting the lay of the land for the noobs, and Campfire Cooking With Ethan to take place starting around 6pm or so.
Saturday- 10am Survival Kits With Ethan
12pm BKT Shorts Destruction Test
1pm Knife Class with Moose
4pm Top Shot Dead Eye Competition
6pm Dinner Prep
7pm Dinner
8pm Drinkin' with Moose
Sunday- Go the Hell Home. :D

Feel free to attend anything you want, but don't feel like you have to. This is just a basic timeline, and will more than likely change, but just giving you some idea as to what to expect.

Willis will also be there, to demonstrate flint and steel, along with how to properly make charcloth. And we will work on traps and snares as we get time, or at the end of the Knife Class.

The idea is to have fun, not to feel like you are attending a seminar.

Looks like there is a lot of new people showing up. Not just people that haven't been before, but people that I don't readily recognize from the forums either. Should be pretty interesting. From the stickied signup thread we are already at 20+ people attending.
 
By my count, we are currently looking at 26 people being there.

There is a couple of locals here that will be attending as well.

And my daughters will be there Friday, but leaving Friday evening.

Oh, and Gmoneyluv, we have a great little spot designated for you, your truck and your dogs. About 100yds away from the commons area, and a splendid view.

The hill top looks great ya'll, we've cleared out alot of underbrush, and make several new sites and made some of the older ones larger.

Gonna be a great time.
