On the way back from Ethan's. Damn what a wild and great time! Somebody should post pix....
 
The last reveler headed down the drive a wee bit ago........It appears that it was a good time for one and all......I had an absolute blast......What a really good bunch of people........A few glitchEs here and there.....As usual not enough water or ice......Probably could have used another ten lbs. of roast pork.......and the chili was wiped out so fast i never got any....boo hoo.....anyway I am hoping pix will be up soon......and vids.......The BK16 and 17 seemed remarkably resistant to catastrophic bending failure......This is good........We did have a really interesting 16 failure......Moose found an inclusion courtesy of the steel mill.... And there followed a break.....there are pics and vids coming.......After thirty five plus years of mangling steel I have observed ,including yesterday's event less than five of these happenstances.......It was, I think, an interesting eye opener for everybody......I do wish it had happenned to somebody else's blade but, feces occur......I will try to get Son John to get some macro pix.....

There was some powerful fellwship and I am continually amazed and severely gratified at how well our community pitches in and helps.....We had two of my severally removed nephews attending and I think they leArned a bunch from everybody....My thanks and gratitude........

There were was real sadness that Bladite and the Tradewaters were not there this spring......Fall for sure guys, PLEASE.....

I am now gonna pour a Pointy brewed brewski and have a little nap.......Hopefully there will be comments and pix when I wake up.........

i had a blast . i learned alot i laughed i cried and i had the shit scared right out of me a few times ! hey murph , i just put the brown scales on the 16 and i like it alot ! i think we should take this moment reflect and thank the gawds that we even survived .

Well I have arrived home safely.
Thank you so much Ethan, for your wonderful hospitality, and all the fun and education that was had by those in attendance.
What a Blast this was. It was pretty cool to put faces to names, and I feel like a lot of us turned from internet friends to real old fashioned friends.
I gotta make plans to get to the fall one now too ..lol.
 
Susan and I just got back from running the dogs and it is real quiet around here and the Beckerhead Camp looks real EMPTY......Tis sad, very sad.....

Allready thinking about improvements for the fall fest........

Hard to improve on the company though, very hard......

Yes, it is always very sad when "the party's over".. I wish I could have made it out to TN for the event . I hope I can get out in Sept.

BTW, DID you get the BK5 Sheath I sent out for PSYOP?
 
I had a really good time and I hope everybody else did too. I think though that the best line of the weekend was "Am I gonna need pants? - Psyop", Although there were countless others.

Finally feel recouped enough to post.

Great time and thank you all for showing up and having such a great time. I had a blast, the sore muscles and hangover is enough proof of that.
