Ethan's Spring Gathering May 18,19,20

YIKES!

Yeah, that would have been a burly drive! If all goes according to plan, we'll be driving down from Toronto, Canada. About 13 hours - not so bad.
If we make it, we'll sleep in our RTT (Roof Top Tent).

1 day 15 hour drive for me, or a $500 plane ride.

Timeframe on when we can give an official "yes"?

I know I'm not on here much but it would be really nice to sit around a real campfire with everyone around here, and at Ethan's property. I hope can go.

I may be able to swing it, that's my birthday weekend and I'm getting married the next Saturday.......

( meant to add this to the last post, sorry:o)

If you guys don't mind me swinging by for a day or two I am in. Less than an hour drive from my house.:p

Chris - if you think back, I tried to talk you into showing up to the last gathering -- you missed out on some magical vittles man!
Moose -- I'm currently planning on being there. Also trying to talk a couple of buddies into tagging along. Once I know for sure, I'll give a true head count. if SWMBO comes with, I'll be in my 10x10 tent. If not, I may bring the hammock -- unless skeeters & noseeum's are bad up on the ridge in May.

Just gotta rub it in don't ya :)

I'm only about 43 hours away. That's if I don't stop. ~ 2,700 miles. Not too far; right?

I didn't think about that. Maybe I'll have to bring my tent for backup, I don't have a net for my hammock.

Vik, I wanted to go to the last one. Four kids in sports get in the way sometimes. My wife claims vasectomies work...

Moose, you said you have room for about 12 hammocks. One time me and my buddy's stacked our hammocks one over the other like bunk beds on only two trees. With the help of my treestand rig I managed to barely get into the third one with my ass hanging in my friends face, let's just say I was glad to get the top bunk! Moral of the story? Think 12x3

If you're smarter, don't offer to share a hammock with moose -- he likes to spoon and the resounding cry of "those aren't pillows" makes it hard for the rest of us to sleep.

There is plenty of space available, but it not really the sleeping arrangments, its the community that has to be limited to between 25-30 people. More than that, and the community firepit, and fun zone gets crowded.

We can hang hammocks for days up and down the ridge, but getting everyone together, for the fun stuff might be tough.

SO far, so good, we got plenty for those showing up.

Moose
