Ethan's Spring Gathering May 18,19,20

Hey Moose!

Looks like my wife can get the time off. We will be coming down. As I said earlier, we can sleep in our RTT (roof top tent).
Question for you. We travel with our dogs. They are always on leash when walking with us and they sleep and rest in their crates in our truck. Will this be ok? No problem either way. We just don't want to cause any problems.

Hey Gmoneylluv.....

There are four resident dogs......They tend toward foreign dog friendliness......If your pups are other dog freindly I do not see a problem......Our dogs Are used to playing host........I am not sure how many is tooo many......Please, everybody this one is one we are gonna have to think thru....Gmoney...your pups are in because you asked first......Please ask and i will have figured out policy in a few days........I would love to have 'm all............

Ethan

Mr. Becker, can I bring my goldfish? He is really friendly...I think. Well he hasn't hurt anyone yet.

I would love to come, I am moving to central Virginia right around those dates, I will check the thread as the dates approach.

Its E's call on the pooches, but if it were my call, I would say no. But its not, so don't worry.

I love dogs, well some of them, but at large events like this one, they seem to be more on edge, and as long as I'm not kept up all night by some barker, or getting bit, or having to protect my food from anyone other than Mrs. Trade, I'm all for it.

Trampus, Dixie, Lady, and the other ones name escapes me right now, live there, we are visiting their home. Trampus was my campfire compadre last time, and Dixie is the gruntingest (real word) dog I've ever petted. Lady and the other might or might not get close enough for a rub down, but I promise, Trampus and Dixie will.

:D

can my blood hound come he would be a great asset when moose trade and dereck get drunk and lost we can find them.

I could've used the hound when Christina hitched a ride to the shop and I ran up and down the mtn.

Well, looks like I'm a little late to the thread. I was talkin' to Moose a little and he pointed to this thread.
Since I live less than an hour away seems a shame to miss it. Me and the wife should be there on Saturday.
Won't be needing a tent spot, close enough to home to drive.

If'n there's still room for another tent or tarp...I would like to come. Not 100% sure if it'll work out where I'm able, but if it's OK, put me down as a very strong ''Possible'' please. I can sleep in my rig if necessary, or find a motel/campground nearby.

If there is any room left? I am off work and should be there Fri / Sat / Sun in a tent. It’s a lot closer than I thought. Only about four hours. This sounds like it will be a blast.

We might scatter campgrounds this year, as we have more room for tents, but they are not at the top of the hill, what I'm thinking this year, is to drop ya'll off at a few other spots, to make it a little less, um, er crowded. We run shuttles about every hour up and down the hill, so, getting up or down won't be much of an issue. Plus, we're gonna have radios, but they don't work worth a damn, but we'll have 'em. :D

For those that have been there, you know what I mean.

For the ones that haven't, booze and guns are allowed, but not at the same time. The most sacred of rules, that will get you throw out immediately, is no guns and booze at the same time. At all. Nada. Thinking about doing a 22lr shoot off, pistols and rilfes. I gotta couple of dime splitter, so, they will be in attendance.

Heavy lead shooters, big bores, I would understand if you left them at home, the community area is rather close to the firing lines, so..........

More info to come as we get it.

We limit vehicles at the top, mostly cause they take up space. Derek usually brings his jeep up, and Murph probably will too, but other will shuck gear at the bottom and shuttle to the top with either Derek/Murph/Mule.

At the top, Att works but you ain't rollin' 4G, but you can make calls and send txt.

Some of ya'll will be driving up and down the hill, even in the Mule, the rules are GO SLOW. Per the Lady of the House, not to be trifled with either.

The loadout specs are easier if I say pack for heavy camping, but not necessarily car camping.
