Eureka, Talon, 92 Photo Gallery

Rob, apparently I didn't see your quote:o I'd pass out do to knife overload just perusing your collection of outstanding knives but I just know we could come to some sort of agreement:D

Well that lowers my chances of talking you out of that one considerably! (check your email) ;)

:D:D:D I only said that it was all your fault. I thanked you for it though. :D:D;)

Agreed ! ;):D (It sounded better when I accidentally left the thank you part out Bob) ;):D:D:D

That's a nice once Primble, made me go looking for one. Couldn't find one but I now have a 2 blade in snakewood on the way. :o

Great "Earthy" picture, Primble!! That is one good looking knife!!

Here is another Eureka, one of my first. It's an old Curtain and Clark

Can someone with the 2 bladed version and a single blade viper (spear) post a picture comparing the two main spear blades. I believe they are different shapes but can't tell without a side by side. I really like the spear blade on my viper.

Here is my Eureka Jack... like the knife as an EDC :)

It is an unique shape that makes it great to talk about.

Oh... I prefer the straight edged secondary blade in combination with a bellied mainblade. Not the opposite as it seems to be more common these days.

Love the #92, very sleek for single blades, only wish I'd have been able to get one with a secondary sheep/coping as well.

Here is a little Mastercraft Eureka I picked up at an antique store. Fell in love the second I saw it! Tinier than the GEC iteration, coined liners that are mostly worn off, great bone, secondary blade a little scalpel and main clip can't be complained about. Love the bone, love the shield, just wish my kids would pick it for me more often!!

And my GEC versions- love both, two totally different animals in the same frame!

I love the illusion that I've serrated the edge on the stag wharncliffe in this pic!!

I love the Eureka pattern now, it's got all of the right curves! Now to find that elusive Eureka Punch stockman!!

And my almost Eureka! Was excited to add an even smaller Eureka, until I realized it's a dogleg pattern- but my first of such! So yay!

Thanks for the post Andi. It does indeed have a unique shape. :)

Thanks for all of the photos everyone.:)

Sorry-Talon not Viper.....

Now that is beauty, wow!

Thanks Primble!
I really like this pattern and would love to see it in other variations in the future. The handle, size, and pull strength are all perfect for a light duty single blade.

Having owned both, I believe they are the same shape. They just look very different with the swedges. With the swedges, the blade looks much thinner. The swedged blades even have some differences. Some had long pulls and shorter swedge and the others had a longer swedge and nail nick.
On the first page, look at the difference between Primbles pic and the one MerryMadMonk Al posted. There's your difference between single and two blade. Then the Tidioute's didn't have the swedge.

Ok. Perhaps it an illusion. My talon seems to not be as "bulbous" or "leaf-shape" as the eureka jack. But it could be the drawn swedge vs ground swedge difference.
