There is the side by side I was looking for.....Thank you very much. Now-Could I get a Talon spear with the Eureka Coping Blade, satin blades, drawn swedge, blackwood covers, no shield or cloud shield.......

Mike Fantastic Talon you show, marvellous.

I was wondering why we hadn't seen or heard of your custom order, it's a real tragedy and I regret to learn of it. Do you think it's still possible somebody in Customs has forgotten about it? Such things do happen.

Regards, Will

Thanks Primble and Will, I still trying with the post authorities but to be honest I don't think I'll ever find it. It bugs me almost everyday.
Mike

I should never have looked at this thread. All those longing feelings I had about the 2 blade GEC Eurekas came right back to the fore. ;)

I love the #92 Talons. They really are winning little knives---slim and light with easy pulls but plenty of blade for most tasks. Handy, elegant, and user friendly.

I bought a spear in Che Chen and a wharnie in OD micarta, but suffered a bit from "too pretty to use" syndrome and haven't even sharpened them yet. Then I got a chance at a nice user spear in goldenrod jigged bone and put it right to work. Great little knife, and I'll get around to its handsome brothers one of these days soon....

Love the eureka frame. Have no idea why I did not pick up a pair of rhe talons, beautiful knives and great gallery of pics in this thread

Only one I own by Jared Oeser

^^ That's a neat take on the pattern Jeff. Is it a 2 spring? Very interesting.

Thanks Mika amd yes it is..... Eureka Moose with O1 steel, canvas micarta and ebony with orange g10 liner and shield. Its such a great knife to use, Jared is a very skilled craftsman!

Here are some pictures showing how we decided to have GEC make the Eureka's for us. It started with my love for this pattern after I bought this Carrier Cutlery etched knife. Then had Ken Erickson make one for me and then GEC's pattern for making them. It's amazing all the different variations that have come from it!!

Fantastic to see how the JBF Champlin run started and the pictures. Wonderful knives !! I want one (or two) !:thumbup::D

Reads like a spellbinding graphic novel, Mike!!
Nice pics/posting!!
