Eureka, Talon, 92 Photo Gallery

Thanks for sharing that, Mike. I did not know that Mr. Erickson was involved in the GEC design. Thank you for pushing this pattern, as it's easily one of my favorites. I can't seem to leave my 92 behind, and I don't see that changing any time soon. It has quickly become one of my most cherished knives.

Finally stopped raining long enough to take a quick shot of mine. Love this pattern. Just about perfect walk and talk.

I have that same knife, but mine is starting to acquire a little patina.

It has become my favorite EDC.

Incredible knife.

I REALLY want one of the single blade Wharncliffe models.

Here are some pictures showing how we decided to have GEC make the Eureka's for us. It started with my love for this pattern after I bought this Carrier Cutlery etched knife. Then had Ken Erickson make one for me and then GEC's pattern for making them. It's amazing all the different variations that have come from it!!

Great picture show!!!
I went to the JBF Champlin site a few weeks ago, read up on the history... these are wonderful knives.
GEC needs to consider another run on the #92 frame...

Excellent history on this design and some great knives resulting. Wow! There's another one to put in the wishlist.

I have some 92's on the way and will post them next week. In the mean time, another pic of my one and only - for now !

^^^Another great pic Primble, anxious to see what you have coming in. :)

My snakey 92 arrived today . Snapped a few pictures of it along with some other favorites.
Really like the 92 frame, it was my suggestion for the forum knife this year.

Cory, Ken was not involved in the design for GEC I mentioned him because the second knife down was made by him before i did the GEC knives. Sorry for the confusion. Mike

P&G - beautiful Snakewood and I see it found some nice company. The three snakes look great together !:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::D

Love the bone Tidioutes Billy and Will. This thread is going to cost me a small fortune !:D

Got this Wharncliffe 92 Talon in the mail today. I have a couple more that are scheduled to be in Monday, but, I was only worried about this one. The dealer pictures were indoor and unflattering light and I was afraid I might not like it. Still - it was the best I found, after hours and hours of searching. When I opened the tube, I was pleasantly surprised.

Wow, just when I think I don't need anything new...I'm seeing some beautiful 92s here.

Especially the single spear bareheads.

Well - many of you probably know that I was captivated by Paul Hilborn's Autumn Gold bone 92 that he posted in this thread. We exchanged some words over that knife:

I am with you mate ! :eek::thumbup::thumbup::D

Tryin' to think up something to trade him out of that beauty - I'm drawing blanks so far.:confused::D

Thank you Gev, why I don't carry it very often is a shame:o

Rob, apparently I didn't see your quote:o I'd pass out do to knife overload just perusing your collection of outstanding knives but I just know we could come to some sort of agreement:D

With that last post by Paul, I sent him a PM and asked him if he was serious about that and that I would be willing to trade him a very nice knife for it.

A bit later, I get this PM from Paul and he states that he would be willing to trade it to that beautiful GEC 73. My heart sank because I have no 73 !!! :o:o

After I read it again, I realized that he was talking about that Jinx knife that I sent him a while back, the tractor red 73 that Coolio sent me - to Jinx my team in the final Four.

I was just getting rid of that knife before basketball season comes back around and I guess it was a little bit of Shenanigans I played on Paul (and Coolio).

I sent a PM back telling him that the 73 did not count because it was a Jinx knife, but, Paul would not have any part of it. I could feel him getting a bit stubborn about it and I politely thanked him and promised TO TRY not to pull any shenanigans back on him.

So today the Autumn Gold arrived and it is a wonderful 92 !!! Very beautiful indeed !! Thank you so much for your generosity Paul !!!:thumbup::thumbup::)

As promised - there were no shenanigans pulled over this, but, I did send him a few trinkets in the mail and a thank you card. ;):D
