Ever have a knife you just tried and tried to love, but just never took?

Every Spyderco knife I've bought for myself :(

I try, I really try, but I just don't dig them. I like them enough to gift them to other people, but knife after knife I end up feeling brain-damaged for having bought another one. I'm always like "everyone loves these, just because the last five haven't worked out that doesn't mean I should give up, I just need to find one I like. Buy a Sage 1, you'll probably like that one"--not so much. It's like Lucy pulling the football out from under Charlie Brown, except that I do it to myself ;)

I gave away three of them as gifts this year for other people (two Natives I bought to gift and a Chapparal I bought for myself and immediately decided wasn't for me), but my New Year's resolution is to never buy another Spyderco knife for myself.

Same for me I'm finding.

BM 810 Contego. Liked the specs and design which made me want to get it, but every time I held it in the shop it just felt off.

I could have dealt with the excessive jimping, the super heavy steel skull crusher/backspacer, and the rough edge. However what I cant deal with is that dang swedge that makes it hard to sharpen! I LOVE sheepsfoot blades but with that swedge on it my edge pro didn't have a chance

Spyderco Leafstorm and Kershaw Leek. Leafstorm because of the ergonomics, i really wanted to love this knive. Leek only because it's the only knife i have that i've cut myself with, i need to get a g10 version the aluminum scale are to slippery for me.
