• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

Ever lost a knife?

Oh yeah. I've got quite a knack for misplacing things at home and in the woods. Some one stole a Gransfors Bruks axe from a cabin where it was stored. All in all I've been lucky enough and found a couple of knives that I really cared about. My Jarvenpaa leuku got torn off (little tied up leather strap that serves as a belt loop came undone) while I was clearing a fenceline in very heavy brush at the edge of a clear cut. It took me forever but I did find it. I lost a cell phone on the same fence line, but could call it and found it that way!

I've lost two- both to water. I lost a Gerber AR 3.00 in a swamp, and my first SOG powerlock in the Farmington River.

My sak soldier is missing as well, this getting crazy. I had it in my pocket drinking at the bar and of course it was gone the next morning. The memory is a little hazy from the later part of the night, maybe I got a drink for it.
