Everyone knows or has met someone famous, who did you meet or know?

I drove Mr. Stallone down to a movie studio they have in Rosarito beach hear in Baja. He was a hell of a guy. I drove him to Puerto Nuevo for a lobster lunch than back to the air port.

Just wanted to get a place in line here...I actually have a few.

Went swimming with Alan Hale Jr. in Moanalua Bay. He was very patient with an 8 year old boy screaming "Skipper!"

Kam Fong (Chin Ho Kelly) lived catacorner from our house. Nice guy, fun kids.

Greg Morris (Barney Collier) came into a small gift shop my mom worked in at Koko Kai Center, I had brought her lunch. He was also very patient with an excited youngster.

Surfers on the North Shore; Jose Angel (used to hang out with his daughter, Shelly, on the bus to school), Eddie Aikau, Jerry Lopez, Jeff Hakman, Corky Carroll, the entire Benson Family, Buttons Kaluhiokalani, geez!, there's a lot here, I remember Laird Hamilton when he was just a rat on the beach at Ehukai, who knew?. Tom Parrish was our next door neighbor in Pupukea, if you surfed the North Shore in the 70s, you knew who he was. There's more, this is enough.

I'll be adding...

I worked security on the set of Man Without A Face and met Mel Gibson. My ex wife's cousin is Ian Siegal, pretty famous blues man from Great Britain.

Ron Howard, during the filming of Edtv. My wife & I come home one night to bright lights & tons of people/cars on our street, and police asking for address verification before they'd let us go to our building. Later, I talked the crew into letting me & a neighbor sit and watch the activity. (Offering some of them bottles of water kinda helped. They were all stressed & tired.)

The scene finished filming a half-hour later, and I managed to meet Ron Howard and get his autograph for my dad; he asked what my dad's favorite [Ron Howard] movie is, and I said American Graffiti. He smiled and said that made his day.

Funny thing is, when I sent the autograph to my dad, I called him the day he got it, and he said almost the same thing: "Thanks, son. This makes my whole day." :)

In Edtv: there's a scene in the movie where a character runs up the steps of a building, turns and waves to the camera, then opens the door and goes in. That building is on the corner of Sacramento & Larkin streets in San Francisco, up the street from our building.

One morning i came to the old beaten up gym in Cologne, Germany. It was in the eightees.
Only two people...me and Arnold Schwarzenegger!! It was like a Fata Morgana.

I think it was some time after the first Conan Movie.

We both made our training, one hour, and than go away. I dont know why i dont speak any word to him. Maybe i dont want to disturb him.

But i will never forget this.

Wow, some of you really have a list. As for me, I met Alex Trebeck and talked with him for a while. Nice guy - very soft spoken. I accepted an award from former Pakistan President Musharraf for the organization I worked for. I also met Jack Klugman. He was a dick.

An old friend of mine who owned a bicycle shop in Jersey was the nephew of Spanky McFarland from the old Little Rascals.

Uncle Spanky was a cool old man with a lot of stories about the Depression days and when ever we brought up the subject of money he would rant and rave about how everyone involved with his career back then made money but him.

He did manage to buy this cool little Island off the coast of Florida where he built a shack/hut to live in.

Also was friends with the two little people/fidgets from an episode of the Little Rascals.

I met Robert Redford at a party back in about 1980. He was in Ohio and was making Brubaker. I've also met Janet Reno and Justice Scalia though my work, but it was just a handshake.

In college I waited tables at a mexican place in Cornelius, NC (right by Charlotte). I waited on Jeff Gordon back in '93. The owner comped his tacos, and then he stiffed me on the tip. A few months later Rusty Wallace had his bday party there and his crew chief made an ass out of himself.

I met Steve Martin on an airplane when I was about 9 or so. It was the arrow-thru-the-head, white suit days. I got his autograph, which is pretty cool because he supposedly doesn't give autographs anymore (just a pre-printed card with it on there).

Ran into Alice Cooper in a Foot Locker in NYC

I met a Marine who was shot down, lost an arm and a leg but was allowed to stay on active duty. Met a Marine who won the CMOH in Vietnam. Shook his hand.

Henry Rollins.....I was injured by a Roadside Bomb and he was making his rounds through Baghdad. Coolest autograph I own!!!!!

Steve Austin, brought him to the .50 cal range on Ft. Hood, Rob Zombie and Shari Moon, Lou Ferrigno Killen Texas. John Goodman, casino in New Orleans. Steven Seagal Mardi Gras.

I got to be a bodyguard for one day for Depeche Mode in 1985 when they were just starting to get famous in the states. That was pretty cool as I'm a big fan of the band even today.

I was armorer on the USMC rifle for 2 years and during the 92 and 93 seasons, Carlos Hathcock III was a team mate and good friend. The 93 season, he asked me to build his dad Carlos N. Hathcock II a M-14 to match specs. He asked me what it would cost, and I told him a signed hard copy of his dad' s book Marine Sniper.
He said ok. Well, we were busy all the time and he invited me to go to NC to present the rifle to Gunny Hathcock, but I couldn't make the trip and I never got the book-no fault of Carlos', we were just busy and it was fun to share time on the range... I met a talked to the Gunny many times in our shop anyhow. Some of the other guys in the book were my bosses and CO of the battalion too. Pretty interesting people and times. The coolest of the bunch was retired Col/FBI agent Walter Walsh. He stood with me and we talked each other's ears off for an hour at a post rifle match banquet. He just is a super guy-now like 104 years old and the oldest living former Gman, he was born before the FBI was even an official entity.
Later after I got out of the military I met the Chili Peppers, Fleetwood Mac, Stone Temple Pilots, jeesh just a slew of bands as I was working with a merchandising company in LA for 15 years where we produced stuff for tours.
The 1st celeb I met was in Great Falls, Mt when I was a kid, and his name was... Wolf Man Jack:)

I slammed into joey ramone and his brother at troubadour in hollywood during a secret show for voodoo glow skulls.

Met a ton of celebrities working in hollywood, don't care for any of them.

Played baseball against Clint Frazier this past year in high school. For anybody who doesnt follow baseball he was the 5th over all draft pick to the Indians this past year. My uncle use to work for Mizuno and Easton so he has practically ever MLB payer who used one of their products autograph. My uncle was the head of marketing for Golds gym so he met Arnold. And my great uncle Joe invented racket ball

I thought I could converse with Tommy Ramone on this forum but apparently T. Erdelyi isn't Thomas/Tamas.

I worked at the Ballpark in Arlington for 11 years, met Mark Teixeria, Colby Lewis, Buck Showalter, Jim Sundberg, and Nolan Ryan.

Chris Kyle lived down the street and helped me and my grandpa cut up a tree that had fallen across our driveway. Had no clue who he was then.

Mike Schmidt (friend of my dad's old college roommate)
Royal Robbins (met at a talk he was giving in Arcata back in the 90s, had a nice short convo with him afterwards)
Cindy Crawford, at Woody Creek Tavern in Aspen (we were elbow to elbow in there, she said my daughter was cute. I coulda said something right then, but my wife was standing right next to me)

ETA: have hung out with some middling musicians also, but only famous ones have been the boys in Fishbone. Smoked a little with Angelo and co., those guys are super cool.
