From a previous thread, and have added some more on:
Lotta famous people when I lived in Seattle.
Tattooed: Darren E. Burrows(Ed "The Indian" Chigliak from Northern Exposure), members of Bomb, Members of The Didjits(sp?) Billy Joe Armstrong from Green Day, Dave Grohl from Foo Fighters, Mark Lanegan from Screaming Trees....more rockers that ROCK and you have never heard of than I can remember. Threw George Karl out of the tattoo shop for being a drunk a-hole
Met in Seattle: Jeff Bridges, Matthew Fox, Tad Doyle, Jerry Cantrell, MCA from Beastie Boys, been backstage at Bad Religion, hung with Alice Donut, Biohazard, Wade Boggs, Darryl Strawberry, Jim Leyritz, Tino Martinez, Lars and Tim from Rancid, Drew Barrymore ...whole bunch of others.
SoCal, Shimabukuro Sensei got inducted into the BlackBelt Magazine Hall of Fame, and we met some of the Gracies that night, Linda and Shannon Lee of the Bruce Lee Foundation, Matt Hughes, and a bunch of others. Met both Randy "Duke" Cunningham and Duncan Hunter(California Politicians) at an SCI banquet once.
Saw George Hamilton in NYC walking around once, Reggie Jackson, Mary Gross and Julia Louis Dreyfus.
Helped Lou Graham from Foreigner and Phil Esposito(NY Rangers Hockey player) at the counter when I was a fish monger. Saw Michael Clarke Duncan at the Las Vegas airport.
Have been in the Las Vegas suite of the Sugar Hill Gang while in Vegas for work, met Lil' John, been to private concerts with Dilated Peoples, ate cookies baked in person by Wally "Famous" Amos, hung out with Jerry from Misfits, all kinds of crazy stuff.
The biggies for me thus far: Les Paul on my honeymoon, Colonel Rex Applegate at the OKCA show, "Patches" Watson at the OKCA, and Richard "Dick" Marcinko at a number of knife related events. Was at a USO event last year and the Pledge of Allegiance was led by a Medal of Honor recipient. I had met R.W. "Bob" Loveless on about 4 occasions, had an opportunity to spend about 3 hours talking about his history with Gerber knives, and attended his memorial service...that was a real honor.
Best Regards,
