Everyone's latest acquisitions!

I was pretty excited when my new Hinderer Eklipse harpoon spanto arrived this week. But, I'm not crazy about how the final cutting bevel looks. I have tantos/dual grinds in other brand knives, so I'm not surprised to see a change in the edge at the transition point of the grind change. That transition point is just ugly on this new Hinderer blade. The tip looks like it has a convex edge, but it's hard to see in my crappy pics. Both issues exist on both sides , but the edge is extremely sharp. I have 3 other Hinderers and they came with great looking edges, but none have this blade shape. I'm still pretty new to Hinderer and would appreciate any input from you experienced Hinderer guys.

The Spanto blade can either (1) keep the angle fixed and have the uneven bevel, or (2) change the angle at that inflection point and keep the bevel the same width, but not both. I elected to have mine professionally sharpened to look like yours (but to 14 degrees); and it works better for me. I used Father and Son Professional Sharpening.

Could I ask details? Looks very nice
This ones a Machinewise Sonora. US made in Arizona. Machinewise has been known for their high quality balisongs but this is their first folder, and they knocked it out of the park. Its a buttonlock and uses a bushing pivot system on washers for an action that feels smoother than any berring knife ive felt.

Thank you for sharing! May have to look into them more.

They are very nice. I have one in Magnacut, and might like to also own another since they switched to 20CV, for the extra edge retention.
