I have no beef with ApostleP either and enjoyed many of his videos. For sure that guy can put some nice edges on knives . Thanks for the heads up manOh man, I can't believe I finally found this old YouTube. I had your mention of painter's tape in mind.
The stuff in the vid is what I use. Not saying it's better but I've always done it this way because I saw this vid early on. You might want to give it a try .

Seems like he was a little controversial in some circles here on BF but he makes stuff sharp and likes Gayle Bradley ll and 940 knives so he's OK in my book.
I like your style. Never done that with a knife yet, but damn sure do it with guns.Anyone else make sure the upgrades are in hand before the knives even land?

I for sure do it with guns as well. Holster, magazines etc up front.I like your style. Never done that with a knife yet, but damn sure do it with guns.
In my limited experience, Hinderer parts are like their knives, you better get them when they're available.Anyone else make sure the upgrades are in hand before the knives even land?

I was gonna pick one of these up, but kept coming back to the site hoping they'd upload the actual photos of the knife (I really did think it was a digital photo or something)... then to realize the knife was literally cell-shaded - looks amazing!View attachment 2761463
Heretic Medusa with a cool poker chip
It’s really wild, I thought it was a drawing when I first saw a picture.I was gonna pick one of these up, but kept coming back to the site hoping they'd upload the actual photos of the knife (I really did think it was a digital photo or something)... then to realize the knife was literally cell-shaded - looks amazing!
They for sure leaned into the gaming side, providing you with a Fallout poker chip (strange to choose that game for the chip, given its not cell shaded) - the way they did the cell shading makes me think of Borderlands (not the movie), as that is one of the best cell shaded game series (IMO).It’s really wild, I thought it was a drawing when I first saw a picture.
Why does your knife, look like a drawing of a knife ?View attachment 2761463

I thought that the chip was funny too, that they picked the wrong game. It was made by the knife dealer and not Heretic. It’s heavy and is pretty cool that they did it for this knife. From what I’ve heard each dealer that got some only got two of each color. They for sure leaned into the gaming side, providing you with a Fallout poker chip (strange to choose that game for the chip, given its not cell shaded) - the way they did the cell shading makes me think of Borderlands (not the movie), as that is one of the best cell shaded game series (IMO).
I guess they did a few of these in this finish by hand from a cerakote shop and then clear coated them. They look crazy! They also have a blue, yellow and green one.Why does your knife, look like a drawing of a knife ?
I really thought it was a cutout drawing .![]()
