Fantastic knives!

Fantastic knives.

I always thought so too. A line I remember him saying in his flat dead-pan voice was - "Some people have one of those days. I have one of those lives".

I can certainly relate.

I got in on the last Dixon drop and this knife is simply perfect!

I've been seeing these around lately. Looks pretty nice. What color is this one? Is this the Atomic Green? I've seen this model still available at only one place in frag, which I like. I saw Atomic Green and Atomic Bronze. They both look pretty nice really.

Yessir, the Atomic Green, it was the one I wanted, because it's got an almost green-bronze finish to it in strong light. I can't recommend these enough.

Am a sucker for lock back knives and this Moki is sweet. My second Moki the first being a bone stag lock back. Both have a contoured handle that just fits my hand well. It is on the small side with a 2-3/8" blade, but I always want to have 2 knives on me and the other one will be a bit larger, lol.

Thanks Quiet. I've come to respect your opinion here over the years. Got one on the way 😁

Hey, I appreciate the kind words! I get it wrong sometimes like anyone else, but I do think you're going to enjoy that knife very much!

This could be my last knife ever. No really. Yes, I just received a Buck Range Elite earlier this week, upon which I was almost immediately reminded why I don’t usually carry any of my other thumbstud crossbar locks - they’re nice, but they’re neither my favorite nor most comfortable to use. I may carry that Range on special occasions, but not regularly. It was time to end the compromises and list all the boxes I want checked for a true daily carry.

After buying and trying many other configurations and blade shapes, I came to the conclusion that I want:
- drop point blade with more than just a hint of drop, like almost a modified wharncliffe - that’s what works best for the majority of my cutting
- blade length of 3 1/8ā€ - 3 1/4ā€ is the sweet spot
- handle length of 4 1/4ā€ - 4 1/2ā€
- handle material - anything but plastic
- weight less than 4 oz
- lock type - liner lock
- deployment - unassisted flipper

I searched long and hard (heh-heh, he said long … and hard) for this combination of specs and finally stumbled on this QSP Hawk. ā€˜Settled’ for the modest 14C28N steel, because that’s all I really need. Went with black micarta (yes, it’s officially called black), because I don’t have any other micarta knives, and I liked the look of this one. I had also looked at the Bestech Beluga, which also checked all the boxes, but it’s out if stock everywhere, possibly discontinued, so here we are with my first QSP. And now upon having it in my hands, it’s a damn nice knife. Action out of the box is fluid and smooth; lock is solid and easily released. Size, weight and handle shape are all perfect for me. This could be my ideal EDC. Though I couldn’t swear that I won’t be keeping an eye out for that blue & black handled Beluga.
