Finally trying out a McNees Dixon. Just got it so not a whole to tell as of yet. I can say that as soon as I pulled it out of the box, I did not like to the point that I was ready to send it back. Pretty good amount of lock stick. I took it back out of the box and just opened and closed all throughout the day. That absolutely helped free up the lock stick. Operates much more smoothly than yesterday. I do see the hype but am still warming up to it.

It's definitely quality built, handles well and is sharp as all get-out, right out of the box. I like the frag texturing and the Atomic Bronze coloring.

Funny thought running through my warped mind... I've never been able to do the whole reverse spydie flick thing. I kept trying and trying to do it yesterday and am fair at it now. Today I can barely flip off idiots on the road 'cause my middle finger is sore from the workout LOL. (just kidding... sort of).

That satin blade is gorgeous, it's much lighter than mine!! Also, I had some of the issue you experienced on the MAC2 I had purchased from McNees, but my Dixon didn't have it. They make knives with really fine machining, but I guess some lockstick appears to be the luck of the draw. Like yours, my MAC2 smoothed out after a day or so of opening/closing, and now it's perfect. Ultimately I don't mind a little breaking in, if it's a knife I love all other aspects of. Man, this one is a looker for sure.

I liked the color of your Dixon too. But when I was checking it out on the site, it looked sorta too much like the "patinaed" green color on the Statue of Liberty. I chose the safer bet for the bronze. I have a couple other knifes with some varying shades of bronze and I seem to like that.

All-in-all it is a solid knife. Definitely a keeper!
