CCKS haul; Tuch and Foster

I was looking at one at the show today; and when I popped it open the action was so dramatic I accidentally dropped it on the display table! That was kind of embarrassing.

I was talking to Dave, he kept handing me knives. "If you like this one, check out the snappiness of this one!" 🤩

If I wasn't stuck at that, "why do I need a folder that costs more than $4-500" I would've bought this one.

Seeing how you were at the Koenig booth, did you look at the Aerocrafted knives, a couple over from them?

Nice knives but to small for me.

I did not. This was my first time at this show and I was honestly a little overwhelmed. I kind of mapped out some makers I definitely wanted to check out, but then just sort of scanned everything else. My eleven-year-old son was with me too, so he got to choose a lot of the booths we visited.

No, I had a pocket full of cash too! 😉

Definitely wanted a couple, I guess I have to get over needing another folder, that costs over my price range.

I have a small hole that got burned in my pocket, after looking at that Pro-Tech and the Machinewise Mojave.

The Mojave is my favorite folder - everything about it just works for me, and unlike the Sonora from them, I'm not afraid of sharpening it (the tip on the Sonora has a deep grind - and the one I have has the many circles pattern, so don't want to mess that up either), since its just a simple secondary bevel.

Not a knife, but a necessity.
4x1.5 inch "soft"/"medium grit" pocket Arkansas stone came in the other day.
I had the bottle of Hoppy's.
Both went into right cargo pocket.
It has been many too many years since I had a good pocket Arkansas oil stone.

Admittedly "modern" steels above 440C (and 440C for that matter) are better served with Diamond plates or SiC.
"Good" thing most of my knife accumulation is equipped with simple "obsolete" (note quotes) carbon steel and stain less steel blades. 😁

1975. The Army Reserves gave it to me a couple months before sending me to Basic.
They didn't want it back after I received an (not wanted by me) honorable "forever" (during this "lifetime" anyway) medical discharge 2 days after I arrived for Basic. I wanted at least 20 years. My plan was to transfer to regular Army during Basic.
