, I slipped a stocking stuffer in with your NL4. It's a proof-of-concept mule (small knife) that was made a few years ago by a PhD metallurgy candidate in Norway or Sweden. I can't remember which. He used his expertise and love of knives to create an elaborate heat treat recipe for 80CRV2 that perfectly balances strength, toughness and edge holding. I bought it years ago just to support the guy, and never got around to testing it

If anyone remembers or recognizes this please do shout out...

After much worry and woe, it eventually turned up here in Louisville. Hope springs eternal I guess…
It was “Out for Delivery” last Thursday.

I feel your pain. This type situation has become standard operating procedure with this inept portion of the gov. They have lost many items of mine to the point where if I purchase on the secondary market here, I will ask if the seller would permit me to pay more for shipping and any inconvenience they encounter, for shipping via UPS. I would gladly pay a little more in hopes to avoid potential lost items from usps.

I hope your knife arrives soon and in new condition (looks new in pic).

Another recent arrival . . . a LNIB plain Ti Magnacut CRK Sebenza 31:

If I can ever reach him, the plan is to ship this one to Kyle Vallotton for conversion into a DA auto. Will probably resell it if that doesn't happen.

PS: I've recently been on an unplanned buying binge.

This is 1 of 5 knives already received this month & the delivery of 3 (which should arrive before Xmas) is still pending.

No plans to buy any more knives this month, but it's a buyer's market & "good deals" for knives that I have an interest in buying just keep popping up.
