up your tall alley.😉

Found this recently. No markings, no idea who made it. Blade is 3 1/2", distal taper and tapered tang, pinned and soldered guard, what appears to be ironwood scales.
Looks like something that would have come out of Seki City some years back, a Dozier style drop point possibly from Sakai or Hattori.

One of 2 new bali arrivals today. This one a Squid Industries Mako Harpoon Inked DLC Black Balisong:

In the past, Mako were only sold as a bottle opener trainer. Only just discovered that Squid started offering them with a live blade & I only saw a few offered with an "inked" DLC blade, which is mainly why I bought it.

I own over 30 balis now & these are the 3 Squids in the collection:

Front top to bottom they are the:

Weehawk Krake Raken V3 (7075 AL/AEB-L)
Mako Harpoon (T6511 AL/AEB-L)
SquidTrainer V4 (T6511AL/410 SS)

The 2nd of 2 new bali arrivals today. It's a Benchmade Model 63 balisong:

It's not perfect (there's a minor spot of corrosion on the back of the blade) but you don't see many of these for sale these days & I got it for a good price.

It's also not a favorite among those who like to do tricks with their balis because of the heavier stainless steel handles but it's a classic & I bought it to pair with the Model 62 that I bought long ago.

So, these are the 4 Benchmade balisongs now in my collection:

From top to bottom, they are the:

Morpho Model 51 (D2/G10)
S/S Model 62 (D2/SS)
S/S Model 63 (D2/SS)
Ti Model 85 (S30V/Ti)

Received these this week off the Exchange. The Kershaw Lucha from L Lysytsky , and the Cold Steel FM1 from M metalhead242 .

The Cold Steel is quite the departure from their usual fare I’ve been forever used to, but I was intrigued by this model since they were announced. I’m not at all disappointed. Super neat. Verrrrry slim, which will take some getting used to.

Been looking at that cold steel for days, I need amazon to raise the price back up so I don't accidentally buy one.

Any knife with a soldered guard and what looks like very fine fit and finish must be pretty up-market.

Another new arrival today but I'm still waiting for the last one to arrive -- Priority Mail but still in transit after 5 days. 🙁

Anyway, this one is another rare one. It's a Kershaw Volt 3600 D2/M390 CB with inlayed G10:

It's an XXX 2nd apparently due to a wonky grind job on both sides at the end of the blade near the ricasso. Had a chance to buy a non-XXX 3600 LNIB that was posted on EB for a long time but the seller wanted too much for it IMO & wouldn't cut a deal.

Oh well . . . this one will be a place holder until I find a non-XXX version at what I consider a reasonable price.

It's not like I haven't purchased an XXX before. I bought a ZT 0560CB XXX for the same reason that I just bought this 3600 -- sellers were & still are asking too much IMO for them. -- but unlike the 3600, I can't find a thing wrong w/the 560CB. 🤷‍♂️

However, it's nice when you can find/buy an unblemished ZT 0600 for less, like the one pictured in the photo below w/the 3600 & 0560CB. ☺️
