Wow, you got a really great one! The olive wood on yours has MUCH more character/contrast than mine, it looks almost spalted.

It's been a while since posting in this thread, so here's a few from the last six months or so.

How do you like the Crux ? It's become one of my favorites.

First Cold Steel, first tanto; surprised by the quality, blade grind is beautiful, scary sharp out the box and lockup is solid.

I do like the Crux. But have been carrying the Falcon or Gent a bit more. Lately I tend to carry two, a larger knife, and something smaller for most general purpose. The Crux seems to be a bit closer to the middle in size.

Here's the trio the day the Gent arrived.



Then the Gent got just a pinch of color.

Then just yesterday, I freshened up the Falcon ano. And got the blade onto my KME. Finally sharp and worth carrying.

I also carry two folders. I also carry a Bradford G3 in my waist band. So if I am carrying the Crux It will be my small and I will carry a 4" to accompany it. I have all my knives paired up with a partner. ZT 0452 W/ 0562 etc.
