Everyone's latest acquisitions!

I actually managed to stumble on a new Spyderco Szabo Folder at a reputable dealer that is on its way now! :):D

Like many of you here, I caught the Bug!

I also "caught a bug" last week, nabbed a opera here on the forum, and (don't laugh) a mint 1980's Blackjack Maumba

It arrived. It's pretty damn cool, surprised how much I like the shiny peel ply CF and how big the handle is (shouldn't have been a surprise given the shape and size of the blade, but still) I agree with the things people point out, sharp edges on the lock / liners /Spydie hole and the stiff lockback like action. But overall it didn't disappoint, I might try to mod the action if it doesn't break in more after some proper playing around with it. I'll take a little sandpaper to the edges of the liners for sure, I might chamfer the the spydie hole too if need be, although that'll kinda ruin the DLC (Although I might be fine with that since it has silver hardware so it might blend in well enough).

This-one came in today:

Please report back! I've wondered how these compare to the big S since the first time I've seen them. Very nice piece man
Well my Cheburkov Scout finally arrived today after three weeks from Germany via DeutschePost/DHL non-express, languishing in a black hole for two weeks between two countries’ customs.

It’s always hard to judge when something is anticipated for so long, but I’ve had a few hours with this baby and am really warming to it. Lots of similarities to my Shirogorov Turtle and a number of differences too, but one thing for sure is the quality is definitely on a par between the two. Another thing for sure is the Cheburkov is the sharpest knife out of the box that I've ever received.

I’ll be back with more thoughts and better pics when I've had a bit more time with the knife and there's better light.

$13.86 out the door at my local Walmart for a slim lightweight American made little lockback with decent ergonomics and a great blade shape / profile, I'm definitely happy.

Solid lockup , great even sharp grind, nice stonewashed finish, and curiosly a little half-stop notch that I've never seen before. Gives the blade a nice crisp but gentle snap closed.

Hickory n steel Hickory n steel , if nothing else would make a nice tool box or car knife. I like the profile  . Kind of a shame they don't sell any name brand knives in stores here (at least not that I've seen).

Sure will, but I was gifted a different knife today that'll be perfect for that.

I've bought 2 of the Ozark trail knives before based on the curiosity about their reported surprising quality for $4 ( they were just okay ), and today I was gifted one that surprised me waaaay more than the other two.
If I didn't know what it was I'd think it was an imexinexpen Kershaw, it's a small OD green frn handled linerlock with a black coated drop point blade.
It's razor sharp , easy to open, has no blade play, and from my experience will sharpen up really easily.
It's got great ergonomics for the size, and I would urge anyone to check it out as the perfect loaner or tackle box / toolbox knife because if it said Kershaw on it and costed $15 I know people would be raving about it.
It may not hold up forever, but I think it's probably unbeatable for the price.

I'm not going to post a picture of it because people here don't like this Ozark trail knives, but I say check it out if you need a loaner or tool/tackle box knife.
