So, one of my good childhood friends comes over with his family, his parents and sister. Out of the blue he gives me this as a belated 40th birthday present...

We haven't exchanged gifts in years, when he turned 30 5 years ago I think. Really a shock. I don't get to see him very often as he's 6 1/2 hours away in St. Louis.

Somehow he remembered that my favorite color is green.

His son is 4 months younger than my nephew Graham, and with three boys close in age like that, it was a mad house. Thankfully we have a big yard.

I'm exhausted. 10 adults, 5 children under the age of 6.

My first decent fixed blade. 6.25" of 1095 steel and about 12" overall length w g10 scales. Pretty nice feel in the hand and shaving sharp.

Got this one in a couple days ago...Fisk Inspired Sendaro made by TK Steingass with Dragon’s Breath Damascus by Joe Burke and Exhibition Grade Arizona Ironwood...it was a six month wait for this one but definitely worth it...
