Everyone's latest acquisitions!

I don't know how Fallkniven's are perceived in the USA, but i bought this yesterday, arrived this morning. The new Fallkniven R2 Scout.

Ultra grippy. 3" Elmax convex blade. Wicked sharp, and a really secure sheath . . . love it.

Note: This is a cross-post from another thread that I thought would be worthwhile posting here too.

I picked up 2 new Spyderco Native variants in just a couple of days after picking up a Gen 2 SS AUS10 PS variant too. Wasn't specifically looking for them. They just "popped up."

The 1st is an alternative variation of the Gen 1 FRN Gin-1 with a PS blade that I picked up off of EB and the 2nd is a Gen 4 CF VG10 PE blade (marked w/collector #060V - "v" for variant) that I picked up from an online dealer that just happened to have it "in stock."

Paid top $ for the Gen 4 because I've never seen one offered before but now that I've bought one, they'll probably pop up like weeds for much less. LOL! ;)

The Gen 4 is interesting in that it is made in Seki, Japan w/smooth solid CF scales and VG10 steel. It is a really nicely made knife; fit/finish are excellent.

All other Natives (except the Gen 3 & 4 both made in Seki, Japan) were made by Spyderco in Golden, CO using other steels. Only the Gen 3 (which is numbered C78 and appears to be a variation on the Gen 1 FRN) and the Gen 4 (numbered like the other Natives C41) used VG10.

The main difference between the Gen1 & 3 being the use of a wire clip instead of a single bolt head metal clip-it and a minor re-conturing of the swedged spearpoint convex ground blade and FRN scales.

The Gen 1 FRN Gin-1 PS pairs with the PE version that I already owned. The Gen 4 CF VG10 PE fills a generational gap in the collection but also pairs well w/the Gen 5 CF Fluted S90V PE (2nd from bottom in the photo below) that's also already in the collection.

I will now be on the lookout for a Gen 2 Native SS PE and a Gen 3 Native 3 FRN PE and/or PS to "complete" the set but this is what the set currently looks like:
