Everyone's latest acquisitions!

Finally arrived.
Microtech 160-1T Socom Elite Tactical Manual, with M390 steel. This has been a grail knife for me. So happy to finally have one.

New knife soon. All I can tell you it's a flipper on bearings with CPM-20CV.

Even though it's not all that expensive, it may be my first safe queen.

That's all you get for free.

So, either a ZT or Reate! Well, that narrows it down! LOL

Yes, yes it is...snagged it on the 'Gram😂
It's been a long time since I've seen one of those. AUS-8A correct? I have one of the early Tri-Ad lock Recon 1's. Serrated of course because back when I got it I was a tactical operator operating tactically. Its missing a clip screw and is somewhere around the house. Not in my rotation, and I don't like the early Tri-Ad, stiffer than a dead guy.

I've been considering a CS Demko AD 20.5 if the come out with a better steel. However, my current order will be occupying most of my funds for now.

Just received this unused custom bushcraft knife & kit made by Cardman (a member of BF's Knifemakers Forum) from another BF member.

Just love the knife and kit! The knife is made of 5160 spring steel which gives it good edge retention, hardness, toughness and wear resistance but is subject to corrosion if not taken care of properly. The blade is 5" long and extermely sharp; 58HRC.

Despite looking blade heavy, the knife is well balanced and feels very comfortable in the hand because the blade is 1/4" thick all the way from the back 1/2 of the blade length thru the tang, which looks pretty impressive from above. No problems batoning the sh*t out of this blade along the spine, if need be.

The kit includes the sheath (reportedly purchased from the KnifeCenter) which fits the knife perfectly and also includes a 2-sided sharpening stone and a ferro stick. Everything you need (except a rifle, side arm and other essential gear) to wander around in the bush. LOL! ;)

All this for a really great price thanks to the BF Exchange!

I don't do much camping/backpacking any more but, if when I do, I'm going to make sure to bring along the Cardman. :)

Big Thanks to Lee D Lee D for recommending Armatus Carry solutions for a kydex sheath. What a high quality sheath that fits absolutely perfect with no play or rattle yet pops out perfectly . It’s for my Bradford neck knife with waist band concealment carry option . Got tired of wearing it around my neck. This is a great option and man it’s beautiful to with so much attention to detail.
Just have to add the optional wast band clip and I’m set 👍🏻
