I was roaming around BF a couple of weeks ago and saw an Atom someone posted. I'd looked at them a few times before but didn't feel the need to chase the drop. Anyway after seeing the one a couple of weeks ago I went to their website and shock of shocks they had some in stock so I grabbed one, checked a few hours later and they were all gone. I have been carrying it for over a week now and really like how slim and light it is not to mention my favorite blade steel. Simple straight forward knife on washers with good steel, there's a lot to like. My only issue was the sharpness of the corners on the scales but I fixed that quick with a couple of passes with 600 grit paper. And by far the sharpest out of the box knife ever.

Did a bit of rose bush pruning this morning.
Very nice-looking: Congratulations!

Many thanks!!! to Ajack60 Ajack60 for reaching out and offering to sell me the plain edged Kershaw Shallot 1840 110V that I've been looking for to complete my collection of my favorite pocket knife.

All done with these now and time to move on to collecting others. :)

Picked up a couple flippers that were on "The List" and I'm surprised I didn't already own any variations of the two models, but they were often bypassed because there was always something else on "The List" I wanted that much more. It's a big list...

I bought the Civivi Elementum (D2 and Guibourtia wood handle) and the Kizer Gemini (Titanium). Both well designed EDCs that will see a lot of use.

When it rains it pours.

I also just received a Kershaw Trooper, which pairs with the Kershaw Special Agent that I also recently received. It's dated June 1980 which should be one of the earliest ones released.

It "completes" (as far as I am concerned) my minor collection of Ichioro Hattori designed Kershaw knives, which includes (from top to bottom) the:

1) Special Agent (1001)
2) Trooper (1007)
3) Field Folder (1050)
4) Heavy Duty Field Knife (1035).

The 1035 is the largest of the Hunter series fixed blade knives, released in the late 70's, which were the 1st knives sold by Kershaw. The 1035 is sometimes referred to as the "Moose Hunter" on the Net but I'm not certain hat this was the name given to the knife by the company. References to it as the "Heavy Duty Field Knife" are more common.

While there are other Hattori designed Kershaws, these are representative and excellent examples of the work Hattori did for Kershaw during the late 70's and early 80's and, while I may find others to add to the collection, I'm satisfied with this collection as it now stands.

I picked up a couple of these a few weeks ago. They seem pretty incredible for $35. The FRN scales feel almost like G-10, IMO. Maybe I'll get a couple more.
I am probably too much of a CS fanboy (pre-GSM) to be super-objective. Any non-CS fanboys gotten their hands on one of these yet? Opinions?

Bought a couple of these dessert warriors from BladeHQ yesterday after getting a text notification that they were back in stock (didn't last long - all gone), wife and daughter will love them. Boy was their server lagging at that time, must have got swamped.

I picked up a mini to go with the standard I grabbed last drop.…and intend to give to a buddy. Maybe. Someday. 😉

Just bought a Spyderco Chinook-II. Pictures to follow once I get hold of it.

Last week added to my vintage Buck collection with a minty-new #104 Twin Set. Details and photos in this posting on the Buck Forum.
