Everyone's latest acquisitions!

Hot off the Exchange, think this one will keep the Bugout out of the pocket for awhile.

I'm just waiting on one more knife.
(A Custom Shop Mini Crooked River)
Once that's here: I'll take a break from this foolish buying spree.

I'm about to leave work early and possibly stop by St. Nick's Knives in Florence, AL... we'll see if they have anything new that catches my eye... Haha!

The hook has already been set, and you're almost in the boat...
Happy Shopping!

Fresh from the mailbox a Monterey Bay Knives Slayback flipper on bearings, liner lock and a blade of San Mai ZDP 189 tested at 66-67 HRC. It was sent with a complete extra set of hardware including the pivot. Nice. I added some bling with the clip. Action is spot on. I upgrade the bearings if needed but not on this one. I am very impressed with another MBK knife.

Nothing really new, just some autos and I'm not really into autos. That's OK though... I need to enjoy some of the knives I have right now! Haha!

What sort of modifications did you have in mind for it?
It looks pretty darn nice to me!

I might try to make some different scales if time and patience permit. Something a bit less, uh, red.

Just a couple of new ones this last week. I'm trying to slow down a bit until I spend some time with the knives I already have, lol.

First to come in was the A.G. Russell Wharncliffe Swayback Jack. It's a pretty cool knife, but my example unfortunately has a rather terrible grind. Not sure if it will be sticking around. :(

Next to come in was the Demko AD20.5. Pretty sweet knife! The Shark Lock is quite a bit stiffer than I was expecting, which makes it a little less fun to fidget with. I carried it at work a couple of days and it performed very well though. Still deciding if it's a keeper or not, but I'm thinking yes... At least until they release one with better steel (and maybe titanium handles). Fit and finish is absolutely perfect.

For what it's worth, I've gotten quite a lot of use out of my AD20.5, as it makes a perfect EDC sized example of Demko's design language and working tools. I imagine the AD20 is a pocket brick much like the AD10 and 15 are, which is why (as much as I love those knives, which I own) I don't carry them often. Whereas, I carry this little knife often.

It kicked some butt when I took it to work. You can tell it was 100% designed to be used, and used hard. The factory edge is just about the best I’ve ever seen too.

I think what has me unsure is the handle height to thickness ratio. It feels to tall for how thin it is or something. That was my only issue with the Cold Steel Code 4 too. Something about it just feels a little foreign in my baby-sized hands, lol.

I’m going to give it some more time. I’m fairly certain I’ll end up keeping it though. It’s obviously been super popular, so I hope that expedites some versions in premium steel. I’d sure love to see it in MagnaCut!
