Everyone's latest acquisitions!

Well, with all the incredible stuff you guys are showing, I'm slightly
embarrassed to mention my most recent -
I was tickled by some pics, positive reviews, and I like the
company for sure -

yeah, it's the newest release from ESEE -
the 3" (total length)_ James Gibson Pinch
necker.

No pics yet, sorry, but here's a link to the knife on the ESEE site.

Not sure at all what I'm gonna do with it...

I just received this bad boy last week. I wasn't really looking for a second large 21 for my collection but it was born on my birthday and the price was fair. The tanto on the 21 is much sharper than my 'zaan tanto.

You have a much stronger moral compass than I do!

Maybe, maybe not! I'll probably be holding off on buying any new knives for a bit. About to replace the front door and back doors on my house. $3600...new frames, jambs and all. It's gonna hurt, but needs to be done.

I may snag a Manix 2 xl though... Been meaning to, so I can have a standard model and my blade hq one. Might let a knife or 2 go to fund it...

Just a couple of new ones this last week. I'm trying to slow down a bit until I spend some time with the knives I already have, lol.

First to come in was the A.G. Russell Wharncliffe Swayback Jack. It's a pretty cool knife, but my example unfortunately has a rather terrible grind. Not sure if it will be sticking around. :(

Next to come in was the Demko AD20.5. Pretty sweet knife! The Shark Lock is quite a bit stiffer than I was expecting, which makes it a little less fun to fidget with. I carried it at work a couple of days and it performed very well though. Still deciding if it's a keeper or not, but I'm thinking yes... At least until they release one with better steel (and maybe titanium handles). Fit and finish is absolutely perfect.

I like the sharks foot and black grivory! I’ve got the clip point in grey. The shark lock was a little stiff on mine out of the box but not bad at all. Now it is perfection finger and thumb friendly amd you can fidget with it for hours lol it’s a fun knife. Love the feel in hand to and feels so solid. As far as the blade steel haven’t had a chance to test it out at work but at home just opening some packages of incoming and letters of course with no issues. I’m not very hard on my knives so not to concerned it not being a Super Steel that we are all spoiled with:)
I will put it to some test just to see how it holds up but man really loving this knife!

Sorry to read that "Russell" wasn't up to your expectations. Can it be fixed?
(It is a really nice-looking knife!)

Boy that’s a beauty, even better than the photo DLT used, you did good. Always a pleasure to give a friendly nudge your way.

Yea, I was pretty bummed myself. I was super excited for it and actually put my pre-order in two or three months ago. I had such high expectations, I even made a thread over on the Porch, lol.

I'm sure with enough elbow grease the issues could be fixed... But I paid nearly $175 for the knife, and at that price I'm honestly just not really willing to deal with the headache.

The plunge line is pretty uneven on either side. Here's a pic from the top.

And from the bottom. This one really highlights the issue. When I measure the bevel, they are set at different angles too.

On top of that, they used 1/8" blade stock, which I think is just way too thick and the blade is .023" behind the edge. No thanks. :(
