Been wanting to try one of these for awhile, love everything Civivi has been putting out
 
I bought my second Asher folder, called the Grandy. It's a frame lock with S35vn blade. The shape reminds me of a somewhat slim Barlow. It does have a strong detent which I think will wear in with time. The pocket clip is a one position but comes with a spacer and extra screw if you want to remove the clip and fill the cutout. It came pretty sharp and after stropping it shaved hair easily. I like the orange peel blue G10 scale.

While I generally lean toward the modern, certain traditionals speak to me. This was one of them. I know it’s “just” a Case, and their QC has had a spotty reputation recently, but I have found no issues in fit/finish with this one. Quite fond of it, especially given it’s price point. I’ve been casually looking for a “gentleman’s knife” to round out my collection for a long time. Years ago, I had the opportunity to hold a benchmade shoki in m390/cf. It was out of my price range but I really liked it, and I’ve been looking on and off for something similar since.

Fast forward to this week, and this Real Steel Metamorph popped on my radar. M390, marbled CF, small form factor front flipper, and under 3 ounces. On top of that, it was at a price I couldn’t pass up.

It arrived yesterday and hasn’t left my side yet. It’s beautiful and fun for my fidgety hands. A little oil on the bearings/pivot, and this thing now fires like no other knife I own. Awesome knife!
