Everyone's latest acquisitions!

My wife and son got me this for my birthday. Nicely done blade and sheath. View attachment 1673304View attachment 1673305

What a cool gift and how thoughtful form them. down in Pigeon Forge, they have a blacksmith shop in The old downtown where you can hammer out a spike knife under the guidance of a smith, really cool to watch, I did not sign up but neat to see the process. Good looking knife. The celebrity running the show is a former contestant on forged in fire, the cowboy with big hat and a hardy “hooooo!” I did get a t-shirt with “Hammer time” on it. There is the same kind of shop in Dollywood.

This wasn't a new purchase; but it just got back from a major refurbishing effort by WValtakis. The picture does NOT do it justice. The gold anodizing just pops! Great job, and Thanks

Just arrived. Toferner Celtic pocket knife.
OAL is 3 3/8 inch. Cutting Edge is 2 1/8 inch.
Blade steel is 14260 Spring Steel.
A quickie BING search brought up this: http://zknives.com/knives/steels/steelgraph.php?nm=14260
According to the paperwork, it was made in the Czech Republic.
I suspect I'll be getting some of their other styles.
I like the as forged/heat treated finish. S'like 8th great(?) Maternal grandfather had. (I've been able to trace the Moore side back to 6th great grandfather, born 1802 in PA. before hitting the "parents unknown" wall. No idea which great ancestor came to North America or when, or if Irish or Scottish (have both in ancestry) and if Irish, was a free man or a slave. The British did send Irish slaves to North America from the 1500's to 1700's.)
