A quickie BING search brought up this: http://zknives.com/knives/steels/steelgraph.php?nm=14260
According to the paperwork, it was made in the Czech Republic.
I suspect I'll be getting some of their other styles.
I like the as forged/heat treated finish. S'like 8th great(?) Maternal grandfather had. (I've been able to trace the Moore side back to 6th great grandfather, born 1802 in PA. before hitting the "parents unknown" wall. No idea which great ancestor came to North America or when, or if Irish or Scottish (have both in ancestry) and if Irish, was a free man or a slave. The British did send Irish slaves to North America from the 1500's to 1700's.)

Actually, you can pinch it between thumb and forefinger/polite pointer finger, with rude pointer finger in the loop. Very secure grip. Forefinger on top, would probably work for peeling upto a whitetail deer size critter. For small cuts. When you don t have to hold on very tight.
Thanks RobluesMr Desmond you have been amassing one awesome collection of large blades! Congrats and my compliments sir.
