Everyone's latest acquisitions!

Later model?
Naah... He already asked about it in another thread... I never seen any of those models with Elishevitz name on it.
I believe he was involved in the design of the knife but not sure if it's completely his design.

It's a Hogue line of knives with separate SIG SAUER line of the same knives, I think different ceracote colors and few variations of the blade length.
The Hogue Auto knife has 4" blade, but the Sig Sauer of the same model only have 3.5" blade on the auto model. I got the Sig auto for a gift,
if I had to pick it, I'd go with the longer blade but it's a gift, I can't complain... ;)

Blades like this are rare as rocking horse crap over here in England. But i found these by a wonderful soft spoken guy i've not seen in ten years. He has forgotten more about traditional blacksmithing than most people ever knew in the first place.

You guys( well, some of you i think) would love the traditional tools he makes. Real useable tools.

Big brother came in today. MBK is really knocking these out of the park. I’m glad I revisited this knife from the original drop, as they did some QC, got rid of the awful looking lanyard hole, did some more chamfering, and adjusted where the clip sits so it doesn’t catch the pocket. They also put a solid pivot in with just a single torx through the show side. The XLC feels very similar to the Keen I once had, if I was a betting man, WE made this one for MBK. I guess I can’t talk sh*t about knives made in China anymore huh? Guess it depends what it is…

I’m going to have to try to get a Sea Otter next year, see what there new in house Made in the USA brand is all about.

You are putting words in people’s mouths, changing what they say….
Nobody talks s#!t about Chinese quality, major difference from the general umbrella of “ knives Made in China”
And in this case you are simply praising the truly great Laconico’s design ( im a big fan btw),
look at your own post before engaging with others. None of you, who’s trying to cry about people with particular opinion, you won’t accept, is going through the website and goes: “Gee, what a great manufacturing quality by this un-named by the designers Chinese company ! Let me buy it right away…” Your first impression of the knife is the great design, next you trust the designers, that they pick a good, legitimate Chinese manufacturer to execute it. Everyone who can read can see it but your b!t#!ng about people who’s opinion you won’t accept. Fine with me.
I’m actually like the fact that good US designers collaborate with legitimate Chinese manufacturers.
‘That’s the only way I would get a desired knife for cheaper price and still have the quality of a great design and manufacturing. But those knifes, even made in China, are not in any way 100% Chinese knives, you may disagree but to do it is to consciously put the horse behind the carriage IMO, but what do I know, I could be mistaking, even purchased so many “Chinese” according to you and your thread buddies, knives.

Edit: i just realized I’m in a wrong thread, can’t figure the darn tablet yet, I apologize for the rant, obviously it should be im the thread about the MBK. I can move it or mods can wipe it off if they think they should, don’t matter to me.

LOL what?

I received another used Kershaw 3655. It is a model that I use in rotation in daily carry. Under $23 with sales tax. Cleaned it with vinegar and a que tip. Sprayed with a lubricant and put it in the rotation pile. Cleaned and lubed the other knives (same model and Spyderco plain edge Enduras) in the rotation pile.

OK, had to do it. Since it gets mentioned so much here in various threads as sort of a running joke, the next time I'll be able to just nod my head and say "yep, got me one of those." Seems they are sold out at most of the usual places, but a local dealer had one in stock. Got here an hour ago, and it's actually quite nice. N690 with razor edges. Handle certainly is on the large side but well-machined and comfortable. Blade obviously very wide, but with the lateral taper it'll make a good cutter/burger flipper I think. Sheath very basic cordura nylon.

Ladies, Gentlemen: I present the Böker Smatchet 2.1. :D

Just acquired a Kershaw 1421ST which (unless there's a plain edged 1421 which I do not think there is) completes my collection of Kershaw Ti Talons, which includes the 1420, 1420ST and 1421ST:

While the 1421ST is referred to as the "bottle cap opener" version of the Kershaw Talons (and can be used as such), the cutout is actually designed as a "wave" feature which facilitates rapid opening/deployment of the knife.

The wave opening is great, unfortunately if you don’t carry the knife tip up you won’t be able to draw that way.
Strange decision to place the clip the way it is if they intended to wave the knife…

Yeah, I'm not sure if they intended it as a "waved" knife or just a bottle opener when they designed it BUT, fact is, the knife is tip down in the pocket and you can deploy the blade w/the wave as you withdraw it from your pocket.
