Everyone's latest acquisitions!

Needed to dig up a stump of a small tree that I had cut down. So, I just bought this cheap Pulaski axe at Harbor Freight.

Should be good enough to do the job and it'll be available if I need to fight any wildfires nearby. LOL! ;)

Does it run on bearings or washers?
Harbor Freight does have some good " disposable " tools.

About a thousand years ago my stepfather turned me on to the value of a cutter mattock, which is very similar to this. It was one of the first gardening tools I got myself when I first became a homeowner. Invaluable for digging up stumps and anything else you can’t kick loose.

Stunning knife! I got one in Antique Stag. Will upload a pic as soon as I can. However, the sheath was unbearable. Just slicing it to ribbons pulling my little knife out. Carefully removed the belt loop, and cut the top of the sheath off about mid way where the belt loop was. A little rough looking, but now its OMG and very pocketable.

Another Frenchman just showed up.
Snakewood
This is like a guillotine closing.
Nice 3 inch blade.

I liked that so much I just got myself one too (thanks...I think? LOL). Well, the slightly more pedestrian version with satin blade and hardware but still in snakewood - which I just happened to find on sale. I'm not superstitious by any means, but I took that as a sign to hit that "buy" button! Concur on the guillotine closing! (Pictures from the vendor)

I just got these Applied Weapons Tech agent series scales (Cobalt), and they're amazing. Why is nobody talking about these?

At first, I was going to say "Uhh, because it looks kind of like smooth G-10, what's so exciting about a black PM2?" but then I took a closer look, NICE. I love the ergos of the Dragonfly, for example, is this kind of like a large Dragonfly in terms of ergos? These scales would be great for my wharncliffe PM2.

Yea they kinda look like G10 in pictures don't they? They're ceracoated aluminum though. They don't use the show side back side liner, and it's heavily machined on the inside. It weighs less than stock. Also the action got waaaay smoother. It's my new favorite knife.

In terms of ergos, it's like a Manix 2 and a Para 3 had a baby.

Dang, that is awesome! The stock BD1N alum PM2 I have is 3.25oz, I love it when folks get 'em really light.

As to the thread!

Couldn't get any more Moomin folders (discontinuing mfs at Victorinox!) but I did manage to get one of the FIFTEEN different Moomin knife sets, Spyderedge bread knife, and two paring knives, plainedge and Spyderedge.
