Everyone's latest acquisitions!

This peaked my interest earlier this year, I had an opportunity to get one $167 shipped. Cold Steel Engage.

Not small, slim feel in hand and pretty comfortable. Lock very similar to Demko but farther back on the handle and works great.

Size comparison to today's carry. For my first CS folder, I like and look forward to using it.

Stunning knife! I got one in Antique Stag. Will upload a pic as soon as I can. However, the sheath was unbearable. Just slicing it to ribbons pulling my little knife out. Carefully removed the belt loop, and cut the top of the sheath off about mid way where the belt loop was. A little rough looking, but now its OMG and very pocketable.
Thanks man ! Your stag is pretty sweet to !
These are great fixed blades and such a nice convenient and easy carry. I almost went with stag also but the last time the dealer only showed one side of the knife the other side was pretty sad compared to the show side. Didn’t want to take that gamble again so went with the Antique Ivory Micarta so my odds would be much better)) lol.

Dang, that is awesome! The stock BD1N alum PM2 I have is 3.25oz, I love it when folks get 'em really light.

As to the thread!

Couldn't get any more Moomin folders (discontinuing mfs at Victorinox!) but I did manage to get one of the FIFTEEN different Moomin knife sets, Spyderedge bread knife, and two paring knives, plainedge and Spyderedge.

Got a freebie Vic when I ordered another knife (Smatchet!) from a dealer...wicked sharp, but the handle is weirdly slippery when wet.

The Natrix is here. And it’s quirky. Very light, but materials still feel like decent quality, especially the CF overlay. Flipping open is nice and smooth, as long as you’re not pinching the subframe lock. Closing is another story - kind of clumsy trying to close one handed, almost a 3-step process. I love the look of the subframe lock, but not too sure yet of the actual action. I’m sure I’ll get used to it, or just two-hand it. First bearing pivot I’ve owned, and I think I like it.

Nice Natrix! I love that design.

You'll get used to closing it one-handed. Kershaw's assisted knives can usually be closed one-handed by unlocking with your thumb, starting the close with a shake, and finishing it with your index finger. Once it's in your muscle memory it's easy-peasy. :)

Thanks! Yeah, I’ve got two other Kershaw assisted openings with liner locks that I’ve gotten used to. This one is manual open, and the subframe lock is different, more like a frame lock, which I’ve never used before. I’ll figure it out!

Sorry about that, I forgot the Natrix wasn't assisted! Once it breaks in a bit I think you'll love how it closes on bearings. :)

NP! They do make an assisted version as well, so easy mistake. I am definitely getting more comfortable with the action now. 👍
